To be a great fit, you must be able to translate client needs & business goals and priorities into clear actionable epics, features and user stories through agile practices.
Additionally, you must have leadership experience in providing coaching and guidance to junior Product Owners/Business Analysts.  You must be able to proactively identify, troubleshoot root cause, and resolve or escalate potential issues and risks as required while ensuring effective collaboration between Product and Engineering teams to drive solutions and eliminate blockers to a smooth product development and delivery process.
Reason for Vacancy: Net New Role What You’ll Be Doing 
  • Lead in-depth assessments and modelling of business processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency, improvement, and innovation.
  • Lead the elicitation, analysis and definition of requirements for design, development and testing of product and technical priorities
  • Manage prioritized product backlog by creating clear user stories while maintaining traceability to business & customer outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Product, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and UI/UX —to ensure shared understanding and alignment on deliverables.
  • Lead sprint activities (PI planning, backlog grooming, reviews, demos) while collaborating with product management & technology teams
  • Coordinate with functional partners to ensure developed features and improvements executed in the applications meet business requirement and readiness for deployment
  • Create & Maintain process maps documenting customer product journeys
  • Communicate progress, insights, risks, issues and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership, providing transparent updates and supporting informed decision-making.
  • Provide support and coaching to other Analysts in the elicitation and review of business requirements while demonstrating requirement traceability and process adherence.
  • Contribute to the growth of Product Owner/Business Analysis practices at Teranet by co-creating policies and programs that support user-centric product development.
What You Bring
  • Minimum of 6-10 years’ experience working in a Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst role
  • Experience working on multiple complex enterprise-wide systems
  • Leadership experience such as managing team (s) of Business Analysts would be a plus
  • Deep knowledge of SDLC & Agile processes
  • CBAP® with Agile certification (SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager) preferred
  • Strong Design thinking, with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a highly collaborative and cross-functional agile team.
  • Proficient knowledge of collaboration and defect management tools (e.g. JIRA and Confluence) is required.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and pivot in response to evolving business and clients’ needs and constraint.
  • Must be able to efficiently manage or work on multiple projects/assignments at the same time.

The annual pay range for this role is $110,000-$129,800 CAD, inclusive of base salary and target incentive pay.
