Product Marketing Manager, SIEM
As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for SIEM, you will own delivering new products and capabilities to market, creating and driving compelling commercial offers, building unique and differentiated positioning and go-to-market strategies that excite, educate, and engage our customers and field teams. You will be a subject matter expert of our customers, their challenges, and champion them internally, as well as help deliver initiatives that drive awareness and growth around this category.

In a highly competitive space, this team is responsible for bringing products to market, driving growth of our business, and enabling our field teams and partners.
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) is a dynamic and evolving category - both within Rapid7 as well as the wider market. In this fast-paced environment, maintaining a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, customers' evolving expectations and needs is critical.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized self-starter who will own the product marketing domain for SIEM and related capabilities (including endpoint, network, and automation). This person will work closely with cross functional teams across Sales, Partnerships, Product, Services, Customer, Commercialization, and Marketing organizations to orchestrate launches, offers, and programs that drive growth in across our detection and response portfolio.
In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for SIEM and related capabilities, our customers, and our markets
  • Create compelling product narratives, messaging hierarchies, and positioning
  • Work with our Marketing counterparts to develop winning campaigns, content, and go-to-market strategies
  • Build alignment with key stakeholders to ensure we are effectively driving awareness, education, consideration, and adoption of our products in our respective markets
  • Dive into data - partnering with cross functional stakeholders where needed - to understand funnel, pipeline, and bookings performance and identify areas of opportunity
  • Support our Sales team with concise, relevant enablement materials and playbooks
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations at varying altitudes - from field-teams, to peer groups, to executives - that clearly articulately key messages, status, objectives to align teams and drive action
  • Collaborate with our Content and Technical PMM teams on high impact, technical marketing materials
  • Drive meaningful relationships and engagements with the relevant Analyst Relations community that further our understanding of the wider market and create opportunities to amplify our message and reach


The skills you'll bring include:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing or Business/Commercial Marketing in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Experience crafting pragmatic go-to-market strategies and programs, preferably in a B2B SaaS business
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication and storytelling skills
  • Experience and ability around business analytics, data visualization, and telling a story with data; experience using Tableau or equivalent data analysis tool
  • Experience with analyst relations (Gartner, Forrester, IDC, etc.) - including delivering briefings, inquiries, and managing reports is a plus
  • Strong cross-functional partnership ability; able to inspire others into action, find constructive ways to raise potential issues or blockers to the team and navigate toward solutions, able to understand and weight priorities in real time to be able to make trade-off and focus decisions
  • Strong ability to communicate to different customer personas, as well as internal and external stakeholders at every level
  • Ability to be a trusted subject matter expert for a technical product, and rally different teams around a shared goal or milestone
  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability and passion to thrive in a customer-centric, outcome focused environment
  • Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing preferred (or equivalent experience)
