Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

·        Vision and Strategy: Define a clear vision and strategy for the UR portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.

·        Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate product vision, progress, and outcomes to internal stakeholders and executive leadership to foster transparency and collaboration.

·        Market Research & Customer Engagement: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify new trends, unmet customer needs, and opportunities for innovation. Understand customer pain points, needs and desired outcomes through structured research and targeted engagement. Collaborate with customer and internal stakeholders to validate, prioritize and explore solutions.

·        Innovation Leadership: Animate cross-functional teams to brainstorm, prototype, and iterate on innovative solutions, with a focus on speed and concept validation.

·        Product Lifecycle Management & Development: Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept and ideation through business case, development, testing, industrialization, launch, and post-launch performance monitoring. Translate market insights and customer needs into product roadmaps, release-pacing, requirements, specifications, and user stories. Track product performance post-launch, integrating insights and customer feedback into future development cycles.

·        Quality and Competitiveness: Enhance the quality, technical, and cost competitiveness of the UR product portfolio. Continuously analyze competitive offerings and market dynamics to drive product innovation and updates.

·        Customer Communication: Partner with the Marketing team to deliver impactful collateral and messaging via all media.  Lead the Voice of Customer activities for core and new markets/segments.

·        Sales Collaboration: Work with global sales teams to establish and maintain key customer relationships, develop and execute go-to-market strategies, and facilitate product awareness and training.

·        Partnership Building: Cultivate relationships with key industry partners.

·        Performance/KPIs:  Define and monitor the operational performance of the UR portfolio, including financial results, market share and R&D expenses. Implement tactical and strategic actions for continuous improvement or course-corrections.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

·      Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic/Power Engineering, or a similar discipline

·      Sound knowledge of power system and substation control & protection applications for the electric utility segment.

·      Demonstrable experience as a Product Manager developing and growing internal and external B2B relationships for Hardware and Firmware products/solutions.

·      Strategic thinking with high motivation, innovation, and customer-centric approach.

·      Knowledge and experience utilizing structured product innovation methodologies such as “Lean Startup”, “Design Thinking”, or similar.

·      Knowledge and experience utilizing product development methodologies such as “Waterfall”, “Agile”, etc

 

Desired Characteristics:

·      A Master's in Business Administration, MBA, with a focus in marketing or strategy is a bonus

·      Proficient in data-driven decision-making, capable of navigating ambiguity to develop and communicate product strategies that maximize customer value and minimize waste.

·      Effective at interfacing with and influencing all organizational levels, both internally and with customers.

·      Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

·      Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and align stakeholders around common goals.

·      Ability to work with cross-functional teams located around the world, willingness and ability to travel as required.
