Summary

PricingCenter is Guidewire’s pricing and rating platform for P&C insurers, helping carriers design, test, deploy, and execute pricing strategies with greater speed, control, and confidence.
As Senior Product Manager for PricingCenter, you will own a critical area of the platform focused on Pricing Engines and rate execution. This includes the capabilities insurers need to turn pricing logic into production-ready rating services: rating workflows, deployments, versioning, testing, validation, integrations, production environments, auditability, and execution at scale.
This is a hands-on technical product role. You will work closely with engineering, UX, actuarial SMEs, services, and customers to define and deliver platform capabilities that sit at the center of how insurers operationalize pricing changes.

Job Description

What You’ll Do
  • Own a core area of PricingCenter. Take end-to-end ownership of Pricing Engines and rate execution capabilities, from discovery and prioritization through delivery, launch, and adoption.

  • Run the discovery-delivery loop. Work directly with customers, internal stakeholders, and field teams to understand customer needs, translate them into clear product requirements, partner with engineering through delivery, and measure outcomes after launch.

  • Shape rate execution and governance workflows. Define capabilities for deploying pricing engines, managing versions, validating changes, testing rating behavior, promoting changes across environments, and supporting auditability, governance, and production readiness.

  • Partner deeply with engineering. Work with engineers and architects on APIs, data models, integrations, deployment models, performance, scalability, testing, observability, and cloud delivery trade-offs.

  • Connect pricing and rating. Help build the bridge between actuarial pricing work and operational rate execution, reducing handoffs, rework, and translation errors between pricing teams, IT teams, and production systems.

  • Collaborate across the Guidewire ecosystem. Work with teams across PolicyCenter, product definition, data, cloud platform, integrations, and analytics to ensure PricingCenter fits into the broader carrier operating model.

What You’ll BringRequired
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with enterprise B2B SaaS products serving large customers.

  • Experience owning and shipping complex platform capabilities end-to-end, not just managing a backlog.

  • Strong technical fluency, including the ability to reason about APIs, data models, integrations, environments, deployment workflows, and system behavior.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between customer problems, product requirements, and engineering detail.

  • Experience working with complex enterprise customers, multi-stakeholder buying groups, or implementation-heavy products.

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, making pragmatic prioritization decisions, and moving quickly without losing quality.

Strongly Preferred
  • Experience with P&C insurance, especially rating engines, pricing systems, policy administration systems, underwriting workflows, or insurance core platforms.

  • Understanding of how insurers manage rating logic, rate tables, algorithms, product models, deployments, testing, and production changes.

  • Experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Duck Creek, Majesco, Earnix, Akur8, WTW Radar, or comparable insurance platforms.

  • Experience with products that involve production execution, versioning, release management, validation, auditability, or enterprise governance.

  • Ability to engage credibly with actuarial, IT, product, underwriting, and implementation stakeholders.

Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of Python or hands-on experience using Python for analysis, prototyping, automation, or proof-of-concept work.

  • Experience working with Python-based software products, APIs, analytical workflows, pricing models, or data science tooling.

  • Prior experience as an engineer, solution architect, technical business analyst, implementation consultant, actuary, or insurance technology specialist.

How You Work
  • You are customer-focused and like spending time with internal and external users to understand how work actually gets done.

  • You are technical enough to be a strong partner to engineering, but product-minded enough to stay focused on customer outcomes.

  • You write clearly, make decisions visible, and create product specs that help teams align.

  • You are pragmatic and move with urgency, while still caring about quality, reliability, and trust.

Why This Role

PricingCenter sits at one of the most important points in the P&C insurance value chain: the connection between pricing strategy and production execution. Insurers need to move faster, but they also need control, governance, accuracy, and confidence when deploying pricing changes.

This role is an opportunity to shape a strategic product area for Guidewire and help define how modern insurers design, test, deploy, and execute rates. You will work on complex, meaningful problems with direct customer impact, partnering with a strong team across product, engineering, design, actuarial, and insurance domain experts.
