Who are we and why should you join us?

At BetterSleep, we're on a mission to help the world sleep better. With over 85 million downloads, we're one of the most trusted wellness apps globally, helping millions of people fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up feeling restored.

We're at an inflection point. We're transforming from a content-driven sleep app into a connected sleep-health platform, where design, personalization, and behavioral science come together to create meaningful change in how people experience sleep. That means the core app experience, the thing you'd be building, is the foundation everything else is being built on.

Our team is lean, high-conviction, and moves fast. We run continuous experimentation across onboarding, subscription pricing, and content. We're building clinical screening flows, partnering with sleep specialists, and rethinking what a wellness app can do when it's backed by real science and real data. The design challenges here are not cosmetic. They're structural, behavioral, and directly tied to business outcomes.

We're backed by BetterHelp and Teladoc, which gives us the resources of a public company. But we operate with startup-level ownership and speed. You won't be pushing pixels through an approval chain. You'll be shaping how millions of people interact with their sleep, every night.

What are we looking for?

BetterSleep is looking for a Senior Product Manager with a passion for building successful consumer (B2C) subscription products. This role is critical in shaping how millions of users experience our core app — from personalized content and feature discovery to guiding users toward meaningful care pathways when they need more targeted support (e.g., insomnia, anxiety, sleep apnea).

This individual will own the product roadmap and lead end-to-end execution across growth loops and core product initiatives, delivering a top-performing product through data, creativity, and innovative thinking.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of consumer product, personalization, and digital health ecosystem integration — and to have a direct impact on people's well-being at scale.

Responsibilities

Drive Personalized User Journeys in the Core Experience

  • Design and optimize segmentation, targeting, and personalization strategies to deliver the right experience to the right user at the right time.
  • Identify key user states (e.g., struggling with insomnia, anxiety, poor sleep quality) and tailor product experiences accordingly.
  • Continuously improve onboarding, lifecycle journeys, and in-app messaging to maximize engagement and outcomes.

Build Connected Care Pathways

  • Define and execute the product strategy for connecting users to external care solutions (e.g., clinical programs, partners) when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with partnership and business teams to translate signed partnerships into high-impact in-product experiences and funnels.
  • Design seamless, trustworthy, and high-converting user flows that guide users toward relevant care options.

Optimize Conversion & Impact

  • Own and improve key funnel metrics across:
    • Feature adoption and activation
    • Conversion into care pathways / partner experiences
  • Run continuous experiments to improve user outcomes and business performance.

Be Deeply Data-Driven

  • Define success metrics and analyze product performance end-to-end.
  • Use data to uncover insights, validate hypotheses, and inform product decisions.

Lead Cross-Functional Execution

  • Work closely with Design, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to deliver high-quality product experiences.
  • Ensure alignment across teams on priorities, goals, and execution plans.
  • Bring clarity and structure to complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Contribute to Product Strategy

  • Help shape the long-term vision of BetterSleep as a personalized sleep and care platform.
  • Identify new opportunities at the intersection of consumer wellness and clinical care.

What will you NOT do?

  • You will NOT be responsible for negotiating commercial terms or pricing with partners.
  • You will NOT operate in isolation — partnership opportunities will be brought to you post-agreement to shape the product experience, UX, and conversion strategy.
  • You will NOT be confined to incremental improvements — you’ll have the mandate to rethink and evolve core user journeys.

Requirements
  • 6–8+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally in consumer (B2C) apps, with strong ownership across the full product lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of driving growth, engagement, and conversion through product-led initiatives.
  • Strong experience with personalization, lifecycle optimization, or recommendation systems.
  • Comfortable working on 0→1 and 1→N problems, especially in ambiguous spaces.
  • Highly analytical, with experience using data to drive decisions and measure impact.
  • Strong product intuition combined with a sharp eye for UX and user behavior.
  • Technical enough to collaborate effectively with engineers (SQL/data fluency is a plus).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including business/partnership stakeholders.
  • Bonus: experience in healthtech, wellness, or digital therapeutics.

Benefits
  • Competitive salary & compensation
  • Excellent health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement plan with employer matching
  • Commuter & lunch benefits (UberEats)
  • Free access to telehealth & BetterHelp services
  • Any hardware/software you need to succeed
  • A product loved by millions — and admired by the press
  • Awesome people to work with
  • The chance to help people live a better life, every day

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus, and extensive benefits. Total compensation is based on several factors – including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
