About the role

We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to join the Foxglove design team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior leaders, engineers, and product managers to streamline and scale our web and desktop applications while enhancing the user experience for our customers.

Additionally, you will gain a deep understanding of embodied AI, which encompasses machine learning, computer vision, robot learning, and language models. You will also advocate for our core users—software engineers who are building autonomous vehicles and robots that can perceive, act, and collaborate effectively. Other responsibilities include:

  • Design the end-to-end user experience for tools used by robotics engineers to develop and test robots at scale.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the people, workflows, and tools that robotics engineers rely on to accelerate development and testing.
  • Leverage usability insights to guide your involvement across a broad solution space.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Technical Program Managers to define requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Lead the design process to plan, scope, define, and deliver high-quality, responsive interfaces that meet accessibility guidelines.
  • Build prototypes to envision potential solutions and gather feedback on design iterations.
  • Partner with engineers to ensure your solutions are feasible and shipped with high quality.
  • Proactively gather feedback to identify strategic gaps and opportunities for improving the user experience through continuous discovery, validating emerging concepts, and evaluating existing solutions.
  • Contribute to our design system to create consistent user experiences and streamline the development process across our product.
