About the Role:

The Verifications Squad keeps bad actors out of Remitly while designing toward seamless, smooth verification experiences for our customers. Our team includes analysts, product managers, program managers, SDEs, data scientists, and MLEs.

You will report to the Analytics Manager, Risk - Verifications. You will report at our New Westminster, BC office on a hybrid basis (2-3 days per week).

You Will:

  • Become an expert on Remitly's data, product experience, internal policy, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with Compliance to communicate our systems and outcomes to regulators
  • Partner with product managers, program managers, and SDEs to create new product experiences, backend systems, and internal tooling to satisfy regulations, laws, and internal standards
  • Build a unified understanding for our team of how our data, customer experiences, and goals align
  • Create metrics used to confirm our systems are working and to understand what customers are experiencing
  • Distill business problems from discussions, develop hypotheses, building analytical frameworks, carrying out analyses, and write clear recommendations
  • Design experiments, read A/B tests, and perform ad hoc analyses

You Have:

  • 4-8 years in a product analyst role or similar full-time, professional experience
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, economics, or another quantitative field (or equivalent additional experience)
  • 4+ years of experience using SQL for analysis (Python, R, statistical analysis, and modeling a bonus)
  • 4+ years of experience applying statistical concepts in business contexts
  • Strong data communication skills, including data visualization, technical writing, and business writing
  • Experience with finding creative solutions within the constraints of complex systems and policies

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 . In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
