Progesys is looking for a Senior Planner to work in a mining project in Ontario.

As a Senior Planner, you will be a strategic cornerstone in delivering large-scale mining projects critical to the global energy transition. This isn't just about managing a schedule; it’s about providing the high-level oversight and analytical insights needed to keep multi-million dollar capital projects (CapEx) on track, from engineering through to commissioning.

 Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain complex, integrated Project Master Schedules (Levels 1–4) incorporating Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning.
  • Perform in-depth critical path modeling and identify potential bottlenecks before they impact the project timeline.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Project Managers and site contractors to integrate field data and ensure real-time visibility into project progress.
  • Generate earned value analysis (EVA), S-curves, and KPIs to provide executive leadership with actionable insights.
  • Conduct Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) to ensure the reliability of milestone dates and project completion targets.
Qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience in project planning for large-scale industrial projects, specifically Mining,
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory. Experience with SAP or other cost-control integration tools is a strong asset.
  • Deep understanding of mining project phases, including Greenfield developments, Brownfield expansions, and major Shutdowns/Turnarounds.
  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management. PMP or AACE certification is highly preferred.
