Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the long-term strategy and deployment of our global network, physical access, and security infrastructure. We are looking for someone to join our IT team out of one of our hub locations (Burnaby or Toronto). All hub-based Clions are expected to be in the office for a minimum of twice per week on one of our Anchor Days.
 

Who you are:

You’re a security-focused technical leader with deep expertise in Aruba and AWS networking who thrives on building robust, stable environments. You bridge the gap between digital and physical infrastructure, ensuring that office systems and global mesh networks are seamlessly integrated and managed through GitOps to support a world-class employee experience. With a proactive mindset and fluency in network design, you take ownership of scaling global office deployments while keeping our workforce securely connected.

A day in your life might look like:
  • Building robust monitoring for the network and security infrastructure supporting our global offices.

  • Developing a long term strategy for network and physical access at Clio with a focus on security and employee experience.

  • Working with our Workplace Experience team on any new office deployments - taking ownership of delivering the network, security camera, and physical access systems.

  • Develop a firmware policy for our network, security, and access systems that ensures our devices are consistently on up to date and stable releases.

  • Manage our global Tailscale mesh network through GitOps.

  • Integrate our office management platform to our physical access platform for seamless employee experience.

What you may have:
  • Significant experience administering and deploying Aruba networking equipment.

  • Fluency in the fundamentals of network design (VLAN configuration, DHCP, WAP/WiFi setup, redundant gateways).

  • Strong understanding of AWS / Cloud networking principles such as VPCs, load balancing, security groups, etc. 

  • Familiarity with virtual mesh networking with a tool such as Tailscale.

  • Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft by using AI

Bonus Points:
  • Familiarity with KISI physical access systems

  • Experience deploying Unifi Ubiquiti enterprise network hardware

  • Practical experience deploying and managing Tailscale across a global workforce.

The expected salary range* for this role is $125,500 to $147,600 to $169,700 CAD. There are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.


*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
