What We Need

The NetBrain Platform Team is building and enriching the NetBrain Platform technology capability so that network engineers can use it to manage any network technology and any vendor technology in their network. We are looking for great Senior Network Development Engineers with extensive Python coding experience.


The Impact You’ll Make

In this role, you will work with a worldwide workforce of passionate technologists who help our largest enterprise and service provider customers to drive their network automation capability. You will be relied on to enable NetBrain functionality for the entire network technology portfolio of our customers.


What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop code to enable complex technologies. Conduct research on current network technologies (SDN, virtualization, Cloud, SD-WAN, etc.) and explore uses and integrations with NetBrain’s product
  • Collaborate directly with global enterprise customers to clarify requirements, quickly address and resolve complex issues, and collect relevant data. Provide creative and effective support within the NetBrain product offering
  • Apply advanced knowledge to comprehend customer requirements and translate them into the NetBrain platform
  • Write Python code and/or build NetBrain plugins
  • Perform unit and integration testing
  • Work cross-functionally with our Product Management and Development teams and exercise judgement in providing feedback and recommendations on techniques to continuously improve the platform and obtain results


Who You Are

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering is required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Above 5 years of work experience is required
  • Strong Python coding skills or Network knowledge skills
  • Cloud experience for AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Extensive understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
  • Understanding of OSI L2 to L4 packet encapsulation and forwarding based on OSPF/BGP/MPLS/VXLAN/Load Balance/Security/ARP protocol
  • CCIE or an equivalent level of network engineering knowledge is preferred
  • Knowledge of cloud operations; SDN, SD-WAN (this is a plus)
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English is required; fluency in Mandarin is a plus
