As a Senior .NET Developer at NPX you will own the design and evolution of mission-critical software systems that power digital transformation across the nuclear industry. You will operate at the intersection of application architecture, cloud infrastructure, and operational excellence, building scalable, resilient systems designed to perform in high-stakes environments. Partnering closely with product leaders, nuclear domain experts, and fellow developers, you will translate complex operational challenges into robust technical solutions. From distributed backend services to cloud-native deployments and CI/CD pipelines, you’ll think beyond individual components and design with the full system in mind.

This role requires strong ownership. You’ll lead architectural decisions, influence developer standards, and take accountability for solutions from concept through production. Success in this role means delivering software that is reliable, maintainable, and built to scale, while continuously raising the technical bar for the team.

Work Location Requirement: This role requires on-site presence in Chalk River, one day per week at most for deployments into production.

Security Clearance: Please note that this role requires Level 2 security clearance. Candidates must have resided in Canada for a minimum of seven (7) consecutive years to qualify.

• Own the architecture and technical direction of critical .NET systems across application and infrastructure layers.

• Design and deliver cloud-native, distributed applications that power mission-critical nuclear industry workflows.

• Architect for scalability, observability, and resilience — ensuring systems perform under real-world operational constraints.

• Lead complex initiatives spanning application code, data layers, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment environments.

• Partner with product and leadership to translate business objectives into scalable technical strategy.

• Raise the engineering bar through rigorous code reviews, best practices, and operational excellence.

• Proactively identify and eliminate systemic bottlenecks across code, pipelines, and environments.

• Shape our technical roadmap across platform, reliability, and performance domains.

• Full-System Ownership: You think beyond features - you consider infrastructure, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
