Marmon Industrial Water designs and manufactures water and wastewater treatment equipment solutions, under the brand names Graver Water Systems and Ecodyne. Our technologies include raw water pretreatment, degasification, hot lime softening, boiler make-up, condensate polishing, wastewater treatment, cooling, and oil/water separation for markets such as petrochemical/chemical, power generation and heavy industrial plants.

Marmon Industrial Water is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is accountable for performing the detailed engineering work required to produce final and correct engineering designs to meet client requirements on capital projects.  The position also provides guidance and recommendations to designers, engineers and the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Mechanical Engineers, collaborating with the Mechanical Engineering Supervisor or Director of Engineering to support their professional development.
  • Assume role of discipline lead for assigned engineering work associated with a project, in accordance with established goals and timelines.
  • Lead the development of product requirements, specifications, designs, codes, and standards.
  • Review, prepare, and ensure the accuracy of engineering drawings, P&IDs, specifications, datasheets, bills of materials, and calculations for assigned projects.
  • Participate in and contribute to technical reviews, ensuring that project requirements, designs, and compliance with relevant standards are met.
  • Address client feedback on engineered documents, providing resolutions and clarifications as necessary.
  • Offer detailed responses to fabricator requests for information, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of corporate design standards and engineering processes.
  • Offer technical support to field personnel, assisting with on-site issues as they arise.
  • Travel to fabrication facilities and client sites to evaluate project progress, quality of fabrication, and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the applicable state or province.
  • Proficiency in CAD Software, specifically SolidWorks.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of presenting technical information to both internal and external stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of mechanical design codes and standards including ASME, AWWA, API

Additional Information:

  • This role may require up to 10% travel throughout North America
  • Physical demands may vary and could include extended periods of standing and occasional lifting of objects.
