The Work


The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of brand-aligned marketing and communications plans that support the Bank’s strategy and Commercial Banking’s business goals. The role recommends and executes external marketing and communications that promote, enhance, and protect the Bank’s brand and reputation. The Senior Marketing Manager, Commercial Banking works closely with the Bank’s marketing leaders to ensure alignment and to keep apprised of industry trends, innovation, and new ways of thinking. The role collaborates with Bank executives, business unit leaders, and the origination teams that are responsible for developing and managing broker, partner, and direct client relationships that support the growth of Commercial Banking through customer acquisition and retention.

The Core Responsibilities!

  • ​In collaboration with Commercial Banking line of business leaders, craft and support the Equitable Bank, Concentra Trust and ACM Advisors brands. In partnership with the Marketing team, formulate brand identity, strategy, and brand value. Support this with the development and execution of specific marketing strategies, including communications, content development, social, industry events and advertising.
  • Plan annual marketing budgets for each line of business and strategically manage and optimize budget spend. 
  • Use research, data, and analytics to inform and measure marketing strategies and tactics. 
  • Support business leads to build and deliver content strategies for marketing to brokers, partners, credit unions, and centers of influence (COIs), including external presentations and co-branded materials.
  • Create strategy and implement tactics to enhance the profile of the key Commercial Banking business leaders through social media, industry events, and advertising. 
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Events teams to develop marketing collateral for each line of business and coordinate marketing calendars.
  • Provide support to the Group Head of Commercial Banking in creating a divisional communications plan and supporting on all key internal communications. 
  • Lead the creation and implementation of annual commercial banking customer (NPS) survey.
  • ​Manage the annual Empowering Your Community grant program with credit unions. 

Let's Talk About You!

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Marketing or an equivalent combination of experience and formal education. 
  • A minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience in developing and executing Business to Business (B2B) marketing strategies that drive meaningful outcomes in support of business goals.
  • Marketing experience in the financial services industry is considered an asset. 
  • Keen observer of the economic environment, industry trends, and current affairs as they may relate to the organization and our marketing strategies.
  • Proven track record in managing and delivering on multiple projects and initiatives with demonstrated strengths in time management, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines. 
  • Ability to establish a budget for marketing and communications strategies and tactics, and to stay on budget throughout a project.
  • Sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills. 
  • Demonstrated initiative and agility to take on additional responsibilities as they arise without supervision. 
  • Experience in leveraging research, data, and analytics to inform strategy and decisions with attention to detail. 
  • ​Sophisticated and persuasive written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with digital and social media campaigns. 
  • ​Track record of developing effective internal communications that have a positive impact on employee engagement.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with senior management and employees at all levels.
