Make Your Mark:
The Senior Manager, Payroll (EMEA) will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll operations across the EMEA region. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of payroll processes for all our entities in the region. The position will lead a team of payroll professionals and work to streamline and improve payroll systems and procedures. This role will report to the Director, Payroll based in the US.

  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for all company entities across the EMEA region, ensuring timely and accurate payroll cycles.
  • Review and approve payroll calculations, including salaries, bonuses, benefits, and statutory deductions for multiple EMEA countries.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for all payroll-related regulations, labor laws, and tax requirements across the EMEA region to ensure strict compliance and guarantee the timely execution of all statutory reporting and filings.
  • Ensure payroll operations are compliant with all relevant country-specific laws and regulations, including statutory requirements for tax, social security, and other withholdings.
  • Generate and provide the GL team with detailed payroll registers and summaries to support the accurate and timely creation of manual and automated journal entries.
  • Partner closely with Finance, HR, Tax, and Legal teams to ensure seamless coordination of payroll-related data, such as new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and benefits updates.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) for all EMEA payroll processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all EMEA payroll-related inquiries from employees and senior management, providing expert guidance on complex issues.
  • Respond to and manage inquiries from internal and external auditors and regulatory agencies for the EMEA region.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and accuracy within the EMEA payroll function.
  • Stay current with professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional networks.
  • Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers and vendors in various EMEA countries, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and processes are efficient.
  • Lead the implementation of payroll system enhancements and new country setups within the EMEA region.

What You'll Bring:
Years of Experience in Related Field: 10+ years of comprehensive payroll experience, with a significant focus on the EMEA region.
Education: No preference
Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proven experience managing multi-country payroll operations for an international organization.
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and their application to payroll functions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team of payroll professionals.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees and management at all levels.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with major payroll systems (e.g., ADP, CloudPay, Workday) is strongly preferred.
  • A relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPP or equivalent) is a plus.
