Your Opportunity

The Firm-Wide Services (FWS) Lighthouse Leader serves as the strategic integrator and innovation quarterback across Firm-Wide Services, driving the adoption of AI, automation, and modernization within BDO’s operational functions. This role bridges Innovation & Change, Technology, and Functional Leadership teams to ensure that enabling functions evolve with the same pace and ambition as client-facing service lines. This role requires a leader who builds trust quickly, works generously across teams, and takes initiative in ambiguous environments—bringing others along rather than driving change alone.

The Lighthouse Leader will:

  • Identify and prioritize innovation and AI opportunities across FWS departments (in partnership with functional leaders).

  • Lead efforts to proactively identify and embed AI and automation into business process design and redesign.

  • Align people, processes, and systems with the firm’s technology roadmap.

  • Develop playbooks to replicate successful pilots and quantify measurable impact.

  • Support Human Resources and Learning and Development teams in defining skills of the future and creating learning pathways for upskilling.

  • Participate in key vendor relationships (e.g., Workday) to ensure roadmap alignment.

  • Translate functional priorities into actionable inputs for the firm’s technology roadmap.

  • Identify integration opportunities and ensure governance, security, and reliability remain foundational.

  • Build and lead a Digital Champions Community and establish an FWS Lab of certified citizen developers.

  • Track and report progress on innovation, automation, and AI adoption across FWS.

  • Present outcomes, ROI, and improvement recommendations to I&C and functional leadership.

  • Continuously refine priorities based on business impact and learning.

Your Experience and Education

  • Strong experience in identifying and prioritizing innovation and AI opportunities across departments (in partnership with functional leaders).

  • Experience leading efforts to embed AI and automation into business process design and redesign.

  • Experience in aligning people, processes, and systems with technology roadmaps.

  • Experience in participating in vendor relationships to ensure roadmap alignment.

  • Experience in building and leading a Digital Champions Community and establishing an lab of certified citizen developers.

  • Ability to prioritize workloads and managing multiple tasks and deadlines

The annual compensation for this opportunity is $126,000 to $176,000.
