Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • 7+ years relevant experience
  • Accountable for all aspects of Information Technology project software delivery, project planning, scheduling, risk management, scope management, internal and external communications, status reporting, and budget management.
  • Experience managing Agile application development, system integration, infrastructure,  or other technology delivery projects
  • Develops detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, resources, timelines, and budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Consults with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure effective project execution and successful delivery of project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Business PM to receive, manage, and deliver initiative features requiring IT development, translates business requirements into technical concepts for data processing and software applications. 
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters to identify dependencies and sequence features across the delivery teams
  • Negotiate with Product Owners to ensure that project deliverables are prioritized and in alignment with business objectives, on-time and within budget
  • Acts as a top-level specialist to identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Monitors project progress, milestones, and budgets, providing regular updates to stakeholders, and addressing any deviations or roadblocks that may arise.
  • Fosters meaningful relationships with stakeholders and effectively communicates project status, expectations, and changes, ensuring clear and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drives continuous improvement in project processes and methodologies, identifying areas for optimization and implementing strategies to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Executes post-project evaluations, capturing lessons learned and best practices, and leveraging insights to improve future project performance and contribute to organizational knowledge.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, providing guidance and mentorship to junior project managers or team members.
  • Excellent communication to collaborate with stakeholders and multiple interdependent IT teams to effectively communicate dependencies for highly integrated software systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity of the healthcare payer industry and knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare
  • Adept at problem solving and decision making skills
  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork
  • Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
  • Adept at business intelligence
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
  • Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) preferred

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $165,954.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
