About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a CIB Portfolio Management Director within Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking, to support Wells Fargo's growing Industrials business. This role will partner closely with Relationship Managers, Industry Coverage and Risk Management to oversee execution of credit related functions and oversight on a portfolio of private and public companies.
In this role, you will:
Chicago - Pay Range: $350,000-$350,000

Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a CIB Portfolio Management Director within Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking, to support Wells Fargo's growing Industrials business. This role will partner closely with Relationship Managers, Industry Coverage and Risk Management to oversee execution of credit related functions and oversight on a portfolio of private and public companies.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop specialized CIB Portfolio Management teams of less experienced managers and professional individual contributors with focus on delivering services of moderate to high complexity and risk for cross functional stakeholders, as well as internal partners associated with the function or who are affected by its outcomes
- Identify opportunities and recommend strategies for process improvement and risk control development within CIB Portfolio Management functional area
- Lead a CIB Portfolio Management team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables
- Interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for functions with moderate to higher complexity and risk
- Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including more experienced leadership
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in CIB Portfolio Management functional area
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy within CIB Portfolio Management functional area
- 8+ years of CIB Portfolio Management or leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience
- Experience with Industrials sectors/subsectors (e.g. Aerospace & Defense, Capital Goods & Services, Forest Products & Packaging, Chemicals, & Transportation), merger and acquisition financing, and/or leveraged lending
- 4+ years of experience in deal execution or portfolio management in Industrials related subsectors
- Leadership experience with ability to effectively manage and engage teams, including training and development
- Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
- Ability to navigate within a large and complex organization
- Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong credit, technical and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong accounting skills and ability to analyze financial statements
- High level of initiative and accountability
- Strong Excel skills and intermediate Microsoft Office Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Experience in assessing and modifying projection models
- Strong knowledge of credit agreements and structures
- Knowledge and understanding of corporate banking credits, cash flow analysis, and underwriting guidelines
- Ability to multitask, time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes
- Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire.
