What you’ll be doing

The Compliance and EAML Examinations Program (CEEP) is a global examinations team, that carries out Regulatory Compliance and ML/TF Examinations of LOBs and functional groups. 

The role operates under the Centralized Support Services (CSS) Team. CSS is responsible for supporting the EAML and Compliance Examination teams through the development, implementation and maintenance of the examination program, tools/templates, annual examination planning, training and management reporting. In addition, the CSS team manages and executes the Quality Assurance program to assess the effectiveness and quality of examinations.

As a Senior Manager Continuous Monitoring and Data Analytics, you will be instrumental in shaping the CEEP Continuous Monitoring (CCM) program and data analytics strategy. Leveraging your strategic vision and continuous improvement mindset, you will drive CEEP’s strategic priorities by developing, designing, and implementing a robust Continuous Monitoring Program. This program will enhance regulatory oversight by providing agile, real-time monitoring of key entity risk, complementing periodic examination testing for a more proactive and data-driven approach.

The continuous monitoring program will deliver valuable risk and control insights to CEEP examination teams, enhancing their ability to shape examination scope, make informed decisions, improve efficiency and respond swiftly to emerging regulatory risks.

You will collaborate with CEEP examination, methodology and quality assurance teams to develop data analytics guidance and tools to enhance testing coverage (e.g. 100% population testing), improve productivity and efficiency, and enable data-driven decision making for greater impact.

In addition to building CEEP’s CCM and data analytics tools, you will work with internal stakeholders to ensure that CEEP’s data capabilities are well integrated into existing data infrastructure and reporting frameworks.

How you’ll succeed

  • Strategic Thinking Approach: Drive, manage and execute CEEP’s Continuous Monitoring, data and AI strategic aspirations while supporting CEEP’s immediate data and reporting needs/objectives. Proactively identify areas where continuous monitoring or data analytics might add value and engage teams across CEEP to implement monitoring and or reporting where applicable.
  • Data Analytics: You use your affinity with data/numbers to drive critical regulatory compliance examination decisions and facilitate data driven insights to support an enhanced regulatory risk examination posture. You utilize your passion for using data to solve and augment business needs, standards and strategies.
  • Thought Leadership: Drive awareness with CEEP internal stakeholders on the benefits of continuous risk monitoring and analytics-driven decision-making and support leadership with ideas to support enhance CEEP Continuous Monitoring and data analytics vision.
  • Relationship Management: Build ongoing partnerships with key partners across the business. Work closely with various teams to achieve common goals and negotiate deliverables and milestones, as required.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Enhance the quality and efficiency of CEEP examination teams by integrating Continuous Monitoring and data analytics into regulatory examination processes. Additionally, monitor regulatory changes, industry development and emerging risk trends to continuously refine CEEP Continuous Monitoring and data analytics strategy.
  • Problem Solving and Creativity: You demonstrate exceptional creativity with a focus on synthesizing disjointed information, ideas and priorities into a unified/meaningful product.
  • Excellent Communication: Using your communication skills you are able to translate complex data and ideas into actionable business insights.
  • Attention to Detail & Data Quality Management: Commitment to ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the Continuous Monitoring process.

Who you are

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in financial services and/or consulting supporting data analysis, continuous monitoring and report design and implementation
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Risk Management, Data Science, Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager), CFA, CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) is preferred. 
  • You have strong familiarity with continuous monitoring and risk data analytics in the Regulatory and Compliance field. 
  • You have a well-developed understanding of risk management, risk indicators, and regulatory compliance management frameworks.
  • You are a critical thinker and can use your analytical and problem solving skills to resolve ambiguity
