We are looking for a Senior Manager, Content Marketing Strategist

Compensation: $120,000 - $137,500 salary, employee equity plan grant & world class benefits.

About The Role

AfterSell is entering an exciting growth phase, and we’re searching for a Senior Manager, Content Marketing Strategist to elevate our storytelling. This role is designed for a strategic, creative content marketer who thrives on experimentation and execution. You’re someone who has bold ideas, gets things done quickly, and isn’t afraid to try new things. You should be comfortable covering technical topics and using data to develop interesting and impactful stories.

As Senior Manager, Content Marketnig Strategist, you’ll create high-quality content, including videos, reports, blogs, scripts, and longform narratives designed to captivate everyone from DTC founders to general readers. You’ll take ownership of content excellence, continuously raising our content standards.

What You'll Do

  • Lead our storytelling and content strategy: Take ownership of Aftersell’s narratives, leveraging industry research, subject-matter experts, and a network of freelancers to ensure authenticity and accuracy.
  • Find the right format for every story: Choose the best medium for each story, from longform reports to bite-sized video.
  • Pitch like a newsroom: Collaborate with the product, marketing, and merchant success teams to find compelling stories, then bring them to life.
  • Uphold editorial excellence: Your work will be insightful, interesting, and educational, while simultaneously centered around quality, depth, and relevance.
  • Track and analyze metrics: Monitor content performance, interpret data, and continuously refine our approach.
  • Expand our footprint: Build and manage a network of top-notch influencers and ecosystem partners to help scale your storytelling.
  • Drive inbound efforts: Put strategies in place to reach our quarterly inbound targets while driving meaningful revenue for the business through content creation

Requirements

What You Need

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B content marketing or B2B tech marketing
  • Strong experience working with content management systems and managing end-to-end content creation
  • Operate with a newsroom mentality, producing content consistently and meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional writing skills; proficient in crafting high-quality written content across formats and mediums

Nice-to-Haves

  • Familiarity with Hubspot or similar analytics platforms
  • Video production and management experience
  • Creative agency exposure or journalism background
  • Personal brand
