Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Transformation (HR) is a strategic leader responsible for driving data‑enabled transformation across the HR function. We are seeking a BI Transformation Lead to modernize and transform our reporting function into a scalable, insights-driven and analytics capability. This role oversees a multi‑disciplinary team delivering advanced business intelligence, reporting, and analytics solutions that enable stronger workforce insights, operational excellence, and strategic decision‑making.

Acting as both a people leader and transformation strategist, the Senior Manager partners closely with HR Centres of Excellence, HR Operations, Technology, and Business Leaders to modernize HR processes, introduce next‑generation analytics capabilities, and optimize the end‑to‑end colleague experience.

Key Accountabilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Transformation

  • Lead the HR BI & Transformation roadmap, aligning initiatives to enterprise priorities and HR strategic goals.
  • Drive process optimization, automation, and digital enablement across HR using BI and advanced analytics practices.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, increase data accessibility, and improve reporting quality in partnership with technology teams.
  • Oversee delivery of large-scale transformation initiatives, ensuring measurable business outcomes.

2. Business Intelligence & Reporting Excellence

  • Lead the design and development of enterprise‑grade dashboards, scorecards, and insights that support HR decision‑making and performance measurement.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment of HR metrics and definitions across the organization.
  • Champion data visualization best practices and coach teams on effective storytelling with data.
  • Oversee enterprise HR data products, ensuring they are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with stakeholder needs.
  • Reduce report duplication and technical debt through standardized data models and metrics definitions.

3. People Leadership

  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and performance management for BI analysts, data specialists, and transformation practitioners, consistent with senior‑manager expectations in enterprise job models
  • Act as change agent to move teams from report production to insight generation.
  • Build a high‑performing team culture that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Guide professional development and succession planning to build future capability.

4. Stakeholder Partnership & Collaboration

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR leaders, offering insights that inform strategic workforce planning, talent strategies, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with Technology partners to enhance data platforms, automate processes, and integrate new tools.
  • Partner with Finance, Risk, Operations, and other enterprise groups to ensure alignment of HR insights with broader organizational priorities.

5. Governance, Risk & Data Stewardship

  • Establish frameworks for data quality, governance, and compliance across HR analytics assets.
  • Ensure BI processes follow audit, privacy, and risk guidelines.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and manage data‑related risks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7–10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data & Analytics, HR analytics, or transformation roles, including several years in people leadership.
  • Strong expertise in reporting, data modeling, dashboard development, and visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated success in driving large‑scale business transformation or process improvement programs.
  • Deep understanding of HR metrics, operations, and workforce programs is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience working across complex stakeholder environments and influencing at senior levels.
  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field (business, math, engineering, computer science) preferred; graduate degree an asset, consistent with BI job‑family expectations.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business needs into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and data storytelling skills.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across teams and functions.
  • Change leadership capability, including coaching teams through transformation.
  • Strong judgment, prioritization, and decision-making abilities.
