We're looking for a talented (Senior) Level Designer to join the team crafting joy for millions of players in Angry Birds Friends. You’ll be the creative heart that designs levels which delight, entertain, and surprise players in the Angry Birds Universe, all while using a supportive, data-informed approach to ensure the game’s long-term success. You'll be joining our team in either Barcelona or Espoo.
You will have impact and fun at work by:
- Crafting exciting new levels for our players every week and collaborating closely with the team to achieve shared goals.
- Being a reliable, supportive partner for our design leadership, proactively sharing context and surfacing blockers before anyone needs to ask, showing great commitment to our team's success.
- Proactively identifying inefficiencies in our pipelines or tools and driving structural improvements to make our creation process easier and uncomplicated for everyone.
- Invest in the growth of other Level Designers by giving structured, kind feedback and openly sharing your process to nurture learning opportunities.
- Tackling design challenges with optimism and finding creative, effective solutions, documenting them in ways the whole team can learn and connect from.
- Analyzing daily results and interpreting player behavior signals, translating them into supportive, actionable design decisions that improve the player experience.
- Aligning with leadership on design options and approaches, considering the pros and cons of each one.
Experience and skills we are looking for:
- You have at least 4 years of level design experience and have already released content for at least one Free-to-Play live game.
- You enthusiastically champion a data-driven culture, ensuring your design decisions connect player experience with business goals without sacrificing UX integrity.
- You fully understand monetization mechanics, like Power Ups, and you're skilled at making thoughtful trade-offs that respect both player experience and business health.
- You enjoy working closely and cooperatively with our Data team, using their insights to continuously improve your work.
- You have a proactive and clear communication style that is always timely and constructive for everyone you collaborate with.
