As a Java/J2EE Technical Consultants, you will support clients to implement Cúram. You will join a dynamic team that works with customers to meet their business objectives while embracing emerging and cutting-edge technologies, new standards and solving complex problems.

Job description: 

Merative is now hiring for Java/J2EE Technical Consultants to join our team! In this role, you will support clients to implement Cúram. You will join a dynamic team that works with customers to meet their business objectives while embracing emerging and cutting-edge technologies, new standards and solving complex problems. 

You will continue to develop expertise in the technical aspects of Cúram solutions and work closely, at project sites, with clients, systems integration partners and delivery teams. 
 

Required Professional Expertise 

  • At least 5 to 10 years’ hands on experience in application design/development/unit testing processes. 

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Java /JEE/ J2EE development. Willingness to ramp up to hands-on Cúram design and development practice. Understand and employ deployment architecture for Cúram SPM. 

  • Experience working with the Integrated Development Environment such as Eclipse, Eclipse based IDE products such as IBM RSA or similar. 

  • At least 5 - years’ experience working with relational databases (DB2 or Oracle) and SQL. 

  • Knowledge of Application Servers like WebSphere, WebSphere Liberty or equivalent. 

  • Knowledge of Webservers such as Apache Tomcat. 

  • Knowledge of JMS/Messaging, Webservice (SOAP/REST). 

  • Experience in working with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript and XML. 

  • Knowledge and experience working in flavors of UNIX/Windows NT Operating Systems. 

  • Experience working in different SDLC life cycle methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall. 

  • Good understanding of a standard deployment model for a typical n-tier enterprise Java/J2EE web application. 

  • Excellent communication & documentation skills to articulate the solution. 

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience 

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in Cúram Social Program, development, design, and build deployments. 

  • Experience in implementation of ERP or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) package software or similar is a plus. 

  • Knowledge of deploying enterprise applications on app servers such as WebSphere/Weblogic. 

  • Experience in modern UI/UX design and user research practices, tools, languages is a plus. 

  • Experience with UML (Class, Sequence, Domain Model) and various design patterns 

  • Experience in working with ReactJS & Redux. 

  • Experience in Defect logging, tracking and monitoring using Bugzilla, JIRA and ALM/Quality Center 

  • Experience in White Box and Black Box Testing, which includes Functional, Regression, Integration, End to End, Load, System Testing, Performance testing 

  • Experience in developing SOAP and REST based web services 

  • Expertise in automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java/Python and HP UFT 

  • Knowledgeable of DevOps and CI/CD automation tools such as Jenkins, Git, Github, Azure DevOps, Pipelines, Infrastructure automation tools like Chef or Puppet or Ansible, Ansible Tower. 

  • Knowledge on AWS/Azure/Jenkins CI-CD Pipelines 

  • Knowledge of scripting with one or more: YAML, JSON, PowerShell, BASH or Python 

  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration and management platforms e.g., Red Hat OpenShift, IBM Kubernetes Services, AKS, IBM Cloud Services or equivalent implementation. 

  • Familiarity with the logging and monitoring tools such as Log4j, ELK, Splunk is a plus 

  • Knowledge of analytics and Data Science is a plus. 

  • Experience working as Cloud and DevOps consultant for an IT professional services firm or similar background. 

  • Good interpersonal skills, preferably bilingual in English and French. 

  • Ideally looking for 5+ years' experience working in Canada to obtain the necessary Govt. clearance. 
     
    Cúram professional services consultants are expected to be certified on Cúram product before embarking on client engagements. Candidates will be provided access to all required training resources upon joining the team and will be expected to obtain Curam certification within first three months. Candidates will be required to obtain Federal Government Reliability Clearance and any other required security clearances as stipulated by our government clients.
