Base Salary: $105,000–$140,000* + Variable Compensation + Equity
*Actual base salary is dependent on experience and geographic location.
Position Overview
The Senior Account Executive leverages extensive commercial insurance expertise and strong relationship-building skills to drive new business growth in specific insurance verticals including, but not limited to D&O, EPLI, Tech E&O, and Cyber.
This role will be responsible for managing our relationships with larger customers having more complex risk management needs and for the growth and support of commercial lines book of business. They are responsible for sales in converting qualified leads referral, advising on insurance needs, placement of policies, cross-selling, and servicing commercial insurance products enhanced by the Embroker platform and insurance product offering. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams and is instrumental in expanding and retaining the company's client base and contributing to the organization's overall success.
Job Duties
- Pipeline Management: Prioritize and manage a consistent flow of high-intent, qualified leads generated by marketing and business development efforts.
- Lead Optimization: Collaborate with the Head of Revenue to provide feedback on lead quality, helping to refine targeting for strategic marketing campaigns.
- Rapid Response: Execute timely outreach to inbound inquiries and referrals, leveraging technical expertise to convert interest into active submissions.
- Consultative Qualification: Evaluate the complex risk management needs of provided leads to ensure alignment with our core verticals, such as D&O and Cyber.
- Placement: Assist in preparing applications and submissions for quotation to appropriate insurance carrier partners; obtain underwriting approval and present customers with quotes and value propositions to bind coverage.
- Client Relationships: Build client relationships and trust through strong people skills and technical insurance expertise.
- Technical Sales: Advise complex clients on appropriate insurance solutions and negotiate terms to successfully bind coverage, leveraging deep technical product knowledge.
- Service: Collaborate with the Customer Service team to ensure high customer satisfaction and nurture larger ‘named accounts’ to maximize retention and drive referrals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years agency sales experience.
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance license.
- Expertise and deep commercial lines insurance product knowledge, including but not limited to Management Liability and Tech E&O.
- Proven track record of high conversion rates when handling company-provided leads and referrals.
- Ability to use Salesforce to track lead progression and maintain a transparent sales funnel.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively set and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to work independently with little need for supervision
- Working knowledge of Google Suite
- Experience with web-based quoting tools
- Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work cross-culturally on a global team
- Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to perform at a high-level in a remote work environment
