Position Summary:

We're looking for a highly motivated and passionate Senior HR Business Partner to join our dynamic People Team. In this role, you'll play a key part in fostering a performance-driven culture that emphasizes coaching, mentoring, and leadership development (from first-time managers to seasoned senior leaders) while also addressing their teams' HR needs. You'll report directly to the Director, People & Talent.
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will:

  • Partner with Leadership: Provide coaching on leadership, development, and performance improvement, and collaborate on performance management, talent development, succession planning, strategic planning, and departmental goal setting.
  • Develop and Implement People Strategies: Create and implement programs focused on employee engagement, retention, and motivation.
  • Use Data Insights: Analyze HR data and trends regularly to identify areas for improvement and offer data-driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Provide Hands-on Guidance and Support: Advise managers on compensation, promotions, and salary adjustments. Share best practices in employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance issues, policy interpretation, and investigations.
  • Drive Change and Workforce Planning: Implement strategies to boost organizational effectiveness and efficiency, translating business strategies into effective HR initiatives that support growth.
  • Collaborate with People Operations: Partner with the People Operations team to align and execute comprehensive people strategies.
  • Champion Development: Cultivate a learning culture by creating and delivering training programs for leaders and employees.
  • Continuously Learn: Stay up-to-date on industry best practices, emerging trends, and employment law changes.and execute comprehensive people strategies.

About you:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A post-grad in Human Resources Management would be great! 
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, supporting teams as an HRBP or highly involved in people program design and implementation, ideally at a scaling technology focussed organization.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge with a Performance Management system (Lattice preferred).
    • Ability to use an HRIS (BambooHR preferred).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Experience in a consultative HR Business Partner role within a technology-focused organization.
  • You have a proven ability to build strong relationships with leaders and employees; people at all levels trust and confide in you.You understand their business challenges, and provide proactive HR solutions. You have a history of leaders seeking your help and advice on team management.
  • Comfort managing multiple projects simultaneously, enjoying a high-volume workload, and embracing a "day one" mentality with a willingness to jump in as needed.
  • Experience building and scaling people programs. 
  • Hyper-organized, detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically with strong business acumen while delivering tactical and engaging solutions.
  • Familiarity with Lattice, BambooHR, and Google Suite (an asset).
  • Based in the GTA with the ability to come into the office (King St W / John St) a few times a month in a hybrid-first environment.

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for base salaries for the position across all Canadian locations. Where in the band you may land is determined by job-related skills/experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range specific to your skills and experience during the hiring process.

$98,300$147,500 CAD
