The Wealth Technology Finance team partners closely with senior business and technology leaders to enable innovation, drive disciplined investment decisions, and deliver meaningful financial insights across key Lines of Business. As a trusted advisor, the team provides performance measurement, planning, forecasting, and decision support to influence technology investments that shape the future of banking, wealth management, and insurance.

Finance and Business AccountabilitiesThe Senior Manager, Technology Finance will report to the AVP, Finance and play a critical leadership role supporting the Wealth Technology delivery group. This role combines strategic financial leadership with hands-on execution, providing value-added analysis, insight, and guidance to senior stakeholders. The successful candidate is a strong people leader and strategic thinker with a proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Lead financial management and reporting for assigned technology delivery portfolios, ensuring alignment with annual budgets and strategic priorities.
- Partner with senior technology and business leaders to provide strategic portfolio analysis, investment insights, and decision support.
- Consolidate and synthesize data from multiple financial sources to deliver clear, meaningful, and actionable recommendations.
- Support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), planning cycles, and annual business planning activities.
- Provide thought leadership by driving continuous improvement in financial governance, processes, and analytics.
- Identify expense management, productivity, and efficiency opportunities, and influence outcomes through strong business cases.
- Lead the development and enhancement of financial models, methodologies, and reporting to support decision-making.
- Foster strong relationships across Finance, Technology, and Business partners.
- Lead and oversee the development of monthly and quarterly operating results packages and related analysis.
- Coach and guide team members in analysis, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, analytics, and project costing/business case development.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, guidelines, and project accounting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to distill complex information into clear insights.
- Experience developing, testing, and documenting financial controls.
- Strong business acumen with a value-added, advisory mindset.
- Ability to balance financial discipline with business and technology objectives.
- Demonstrated track record of leading process improvements and driving change.
- Collaborative leader with strong relationship-building skills.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Technology Finance, or Project/Portfolio Financial Management.
- Banking or financial services industry experience is an asset.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, CGA, MBA, or CFIA), completed or in progress, is an asset.
- Experience with project costing, business case development, and portfolio management.
- Experience with financial and project management systems (e.g., CA PPM, Hyperion) preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Confluence is an asset.
