Department Overview
The Specialized Reporting and Solutions Management (SRSM) team within Finance is responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and advisory services across specialized segment level scope. The team partners closely with Finance leadership, Segment CFOs, and enterprise stakeholders to provide insights that support strategic decision-making, financial performance management, and operational excellence.
Within this mandate, the team provides dedicated Finance support over Global Compensation employee benefit and compensation programs, working in close partnership with Human Resources, Finance, and Treasury and Balance Sheet Management stakeholders to ensure alignment between program strategies and financial outcomes.
Job Description
The Senior Group Manager, Specialized Finance reports to the Vice President, Finance, SRSM and is responsible for leading the Global Compensation team.
The role provides strategic financial advisory, executive reporting, and analytics to senior leadership, including Segment CFOs and HR Business Partners, while ensuring strong governance and control, data integrity, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory & Stakeholder Management
Act as a trusted advisor to Segment CFOs, senior Finance leaders, and HR Business Partners to support decision making
Translate complex financial information into clear insights for senior leadership on workforce initiatives
Financial Analysis, Reporting & Planning
Lead planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for employee benefit and compensation programs in scope
Produce insights and deliver executive-ready materials for senior leadership forums
Provide senior‑level oversight of specialized finance activities, including:
Monthly and quarterly financial close processes
Quarterly and annual note disclosures in accordance with IFRS
Hedging executive compensation equity awards
Annual setting of assumptions for defined benefit plans; and
Stand-alone pension plan financial statements for regulators
Act as liaison with internal audit and external stakeholders including actuaries and auditors
Risk, Governance & Controls
Maintain strong financial controls and reporting integrity
Ensure compliance with enterprise policies and regulatory expectations
Act as a key control owner for risk roles, particularly related to Regulatory Compliance Management, End-User Computing, Sarbanes-Oxley, and GL Account Reconciliation and Attestation Policy
Enterprise Initiatives & Transformation
Support cost optimization and workforce strategies
Drive process improvement and efficiency
Identify financial risks, emerging issues, and control gaps, and drive timely resolution
People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop the Global Compensation Finance team
Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and support professional development
Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture
The Ideal Candidate Possesses
Strong ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
Experience influencing senior stakeholders including CFOs and HR partners
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders at various levels of seniority
Working knowledge of IAS 19, IFRS 2 and the relevant pension financial reporting standards
Strong understanding of financial controls, planning and analysis, governance frameworks, and regulatory environments
Proven analytical skills, sound judgment, attention to detail and high personal standards for accuracy
Demonstrated leadership and team development capability
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, complex environment with autonomy and adapt well to changing priorities
Job Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
Significant Finance experience including people management
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
