About the role:
As a Senior GIS Analyst, you will create comprehensive mapping products and demographic materials to support research, marketing initiatives, and the needs of our national sales and service teams. Your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our national mapping capabilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing training on our mapping tools and applications to ensure that our staff is equipped with the necessary skills to leverage these resources effectively. You will actively contribute your extensive knowledge and technical GIS expertise to deliver added value and a competitive advantage for our advisors and clients.

Perform complex spatial analysis: using GIS tools such as ESRI ArcGIS and QGIS to uncover patterns, trends, and relationships within spatial datasets.

Generate clear, accurate visualizations: using knowledge of data formats and mapping techniques, create maps, charts, and graphs, to effectively communicate findings.

Manage GIS projects: from start to finish, this includes scoping, requirements gathering, project planning, and execution.

Guide development: identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation in our mapping capabilities.

Work collaboratively: in a team environment, collaborate with other departments and interact with stakeholders to achieve project goals, contributing to a positive and inclusive work culture by sharing knowledge, insights, and best practices.
What you bring:
-
GIS Degree: from a 4 year college or university, preferable in Geography, GIS or a related field.

3-5 years of experience: GIS and advanced proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and related tools. Commercial real estate experience is considered an asset.

Demonstrated business acumen: ability to translate business requirements into GIS solutions.

Proficiency skillsets: business intelligence, data visualization, and data scrapping techniques. Programming language in Python and SQL would be an asset.

Exceptional communication skills: both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences. Ability to meet commitments and deadlines, with excellent follow-through.
