Job Description: 

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior FP&A Finance Manager to lead core financial planning, forecasting, and performance management activities. This role plays a critical part in shaping the company’s financial strategy, supporting key business decisions, and enabling long‑term growth through strong analytical insight and business partnership.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with exceptional financial modelling skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and long‑range planning processes.
  • Develop and enhance financial models, reporting packages, and KPI dashboards.
  • Analyze financial performance, variances, and trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare executive‑level presentations summarizing business performance and forward‑looking perspectives.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity in consolidated financial views across multiple business areas.

Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to functional and business unit leaders.
  • Provide financial guidance on strategic initiatives, resource allocation, and operational performance.
  • Conduct scenario modelling, sensitivity analyses, and investment evaluations to support decision-making.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships to influence outcomes and drive financial discipline.

Process, Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, planning cycles, and reporting frameworks.
  • Drive automation, standardization, and enhancements across FP&A tools and systems.
  • Strengthen financial governance through improved data quality, processes, and analytical frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA is an asset.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, ideally within a complex or growth‑oriented environment.
  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, especially in presenting to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and work cross‑functionally.
  • Experience with financial systems, planning tools, and data visualization platforms.

Compensation Hiring Base Salary Range:

$110,825.00 - $157,300.00

 

Please be advised that the compensation hiring range indicated herein is provided solely as a good-faith estimate of expected base compensation for the position. The actual compensation offered will be determined at the time of hire and is contingent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated skills, and results of assessments conducted during the hiring process.

 

Bonus:

The BlackBerry Variable Incentive Pay (VIP) program is an organization-wide bonus incentive program which aims to reward full-time eligible employees for their contribution to BlackBerry’s success. VIP payments are made in addition to base salary and factor in company’s performance as a way for employees to share in BlackBerry’s achievements.
