About Us
Limelight Software is a trusted leader in the modern FP&A technology space. Our cloud-based platform replaces spreadsheet-heavy chaos with dynamic, real-time, automated financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting solutions. With a commitment to engineering excellence, innovation, and an exceptional customer experience, we empower mid-market finance teams across North America to make better strategic decisions.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Manager of Professional Services, you will serve as a strategic financial consultant and solutions architect for our clients. In this role, you will partner closely with external CFOs, Controllers, and VP of Finance stakeholders to transform their legacy, spreadsheet-heavy accounting processes into scalable, automated financial models inside the Limelight ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Architecture
  • Deconstruct and audit complex, multi-entity legacy client spreadsheets, including detailed workforce planning models, revenue models, and multi-currency frameworks.
  • Rebuild and configure client business logic inside Limelight’s dynamic cloud ecosystem, ensuring absolute structural integrity and data stability.
  • Map complex charts of accounts, cost centers, and dimensional data structures from top-tier ERP and accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday).
C-Suite Advisory & Business Partnering
  • Lead engaging discovery workshops and scoping sessions with external corporate finance stakeholders to diagnose data bottlenecks and redefine their strategic reporting workflows.
  • Act as a trusted financial expert, guiding defensive or skeptical stakeholders through process improvements and modern budgeting best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical and implementation teams to ensure client business requirements translate flawlessly to final product delivery.
Continuous Improvement & Automation
  • Identify opportunities to streamline client forecasting accuracy, reporting velocity, and planning efficiency during the deployment lifecycle.
  • Build, enhance, and deploy sophisticated management dashboards, leadership scorecards, and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting packages for clients.
Ideal Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5–6+ years of progressive experience within an Accounting Firm (Transaction Advisory / TAS, Deal Advisory, Valuations, Corporate Finance) or working as an Associate inside a Private Equity / Venture Capital fund.
  • Advanced, battle-tested financial modeling capabilities, with a deep comfort level designing integrated 3-statement models and driver-based logic from scratch.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage difficult stakeholder dynamics and interface directly with C-suite executives.
  • Technical curiosity with elite command of Excel; direct exposure to relational data structures, financial systems, or business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) is highly valued.
  • A completed or in-progress CPA or CFA designation is a strong asset, but equivalent multi-company modeling experience will be highly prioritized.
