Bring your financial expertise to the businesses you advise.

You’ve built financial models from the ground up, challenged assumptions, and helped leaders understand what the numbers mean. You can take an unfamiliar business, identify its financial drivers, and turn complex requirements into a practical planning solution.

At Limelight, you’ll bring that expertise directly to clients. You’ll work with CFOs and finance teams to design financial models, improve how they plan and analyze performance, and put those solutions into practice using our modern FP&A platform.

We’re looking for someone with strong financial analytics and modeling experience, sound business judgment, and the ability to lead client relationships and projects from discovery through delivery.

About Limelight

Limelight helps finance teams modernize budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis. Our modern FP&A platform connects financial and operational data, giving organizations a more effective way to plan, understand performance, and make decisions.

You’ll join a collaborative team of finance and technology professionals serving mid-market organizations across North America.

The opportunity

This role combines financial modeling, solution design, client advisory, and project management.

You’ll understand how each client’s business operates, recommend the right modeling approach, and build solutions that their finance team can confidently own and use. You’ll take responsibility for the quality of the financial solution and keep the project moving through clear communication, strong organization, and proactive problem-solving.

Your background may include private equity, venture capital, investment banking, financial advisory, valuations, financial consulting, or corporate FP&A. What matters most is that you have personally built several substantial financial models and can explain the business logic behind them.

What you’ll do

Build financial models and deliver useful analysis

  • Design integrated income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow models, along with revenue, workforce, operating expense, and scenario planning models.

  • Identify the assumptions, relationships, and operating drivers that influence a client’s financial performance.

  • Review existing spreadsheets, challenge assumptions, and recommend improvements to model structure and planning processes.

  • Validate calculations, reconcile outputs, and test how models respond to changes in business assumptions.

Turn business requirements into planning solutions

  • Lead discovery sessions with CFOs, Controllers, and finance leaders to understand their business, objectives, and reporting needs.

  • Translate financial requirements into clear model designs, workflows, dashboards, and reports within Limelight.

  • Recommend practical approaches to complex planning challenges, explaining the trade-offs clearly.

  • Work with integration and product specialists to connect client data and resolve delivery challenges.

Own client relationships and project delivery

  • Manage client projects from discovery and scoping through model development, testing, training, and launch.

  • Maintain clear project plans, priorities, responsibilities, and timelines across multiple engagements.

  • Set expectations, communicate progress, identify risks early, and manage changes in scope.

  • Lead client meetings and presentations with confidence, making complex financial concepts easy to understand.

  • Train finance teams and help them confidently maintain and extend their models.

What you’ll bring
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in financial modeling, financial analysis, advisory, investment analysis, or corporate FP&A.

  • A track record of personally building multiple financial models from scratch, across businesses, portfolio companies, clients, or operating units.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting relationships, cash flow, business drivers, and scenario analysis.

  • Advanced Excel modeling skills, with a disciplined approach to model structure, documentation, validation, and accuracy.

  • Demonstrated ownership of client or senior stakeholder relationships, including presenting recommendations and navigating competing priorities.

  • Experience managing projects or complex workstreams, with accountability for scope, deadlines, and quality.

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related analytical field.

A CFA designation or progress toward the CFA charter is strongly preferred. A CPA, CBV, or comparable qualification is also valuable.

Experience with FP&A platforms, ERP systems, Power BI, or financial systems implementation is an asset.

Why join Limelight?
  • Apply your expertise across businesses. Work directly with finance leaders on a range of financial and operational challenges.

  • See your recommendations become working solutions. Follow your work from the initial business question through to a model the client uses.

  • Take ownership. Bring your judgment and ideas to both client engagements and how we deliver our services.

  • Work closely with finance and technology colleagues. Share knowledge, solve problems together, and help shape a growing FP&A platform.
