Why Is This Role Important?
Reporting to the Director of Finance, with accountability to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in translating business decisions into financial results for our Senior Management and investors through delivering timely and accurate reporting and providing analytical support.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead preparation and review monthly consolidated management financial reports and follow up on key issues identified.
- Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements.
- Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure proactive timely resolution of all co-worker inquiries.
- Develop new analysis and KPI’s to enhance the understanding of company performance yielding new insights.
- Prepare quarterly financial statements reports, analysis and presentations to senior executives, external lenders, and Board members.
- Work with departmental leads to continuously improve operational and accounting processes for improved timeliness and accuracy.
- Monitoring cash flow movement, completing regular cash flow forecasting and initiating the transfer of funds.
- Mentor, coach and supervise junior staff
- Perform special projects and ad hoc reporting as required.
What You’ll Need:
- Customer focused, interpersonal and negotiating skills to engage departmental leads and staff;
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role dealing with senior individuals of both a financial and non-financial nature;
- CPA (CA, CMA or CGA) designation required;
- University degree in Business, Finance, or Commerce;
- Extensive knowledge of the IFRS principles, consolidation methods, financial analysis;
- Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization;
- Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently;
- Positive attitude, approachable and self-motivated;
- Experience in Real Estate is an asset; and
- Experience with Yardi property management systems is an asset.
