Job Description
The Senior Analyst, Finance (SFA) will join the Finance team of the Private Equity group and will be part of the team responsible for public reporting requirements for Brookfield Business Partners LP and Brookfield Business Corporation (“BBU”/ “BBUC”). Reporting to the Director, Finance, the SFA will be responsible for the reporting needs of Brookfield’s Private Equity group and of BBU.
Responsibilities include the following:

Responsible for public company reporting, including liaising with portfolio companies and various Brookfield groups to consolidate, review and report results under IFRS;

Oversight of the preparation, maintenance, and review of all underlying financial information;

Responsibility for financial reporting for transactions (acquisitions, divestitures, equity accounting, financial instruments, securities transactions, hedge accounting) and working with portfolio companies to prepare the purchase price allocation, reviews of PPA valuations, documentation of business combination and control analyses, review and analysis of technical accounting issues under IFRS

Preparation of presentations on financial and operational results to Brookfield corporate team and senior management.

Liaising with internal and external auditors;

Liaising with auditors, advisors, and other internal team members representing various functions within the Brookfield organization

Special projects as required.
Requirements:
This position offers excellent opportunities in a dynamic environment. To qualify, candidates must have:

CA or CPA designation with a background in public company accounting/auditing, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a multi-national accounting firm;

Demonstrated ability and initiative;

Desire to develop a strong background in technical accounting under IFRS;

Superior communication (English oral and written) and interpersonal skills;

Understanding and interest in financial markets;

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment;

Excellent analytical, and problem-solving ability;

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines;

Self-motivated and proactive, with respect to both managing workload and professional development.
