Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for extending the capacity of the IKO corporate head office, and managing shared service responsibilities for a subsidiary group with operations in multiple jurisdictions globally. The role will involve preparing financial reports, managing projects with respect to other finance functions, executing internal controls, liaising with group accounting teams, and executing on shared services functions.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and oversees the gathering of monthly financial submissions
  • Performs and coordinates quarterly/monthly financial consolidation across the IKO group
  • Coordinates, develops templates, and manages reporting on forecasts and budgets process within the Group
  • Produce consolidated executive level reporting for monthly Operating reviews that delivers transparency and focus to key performance issues and opportunities
  • Assist leadership team members in the assessment of new analysis/reporting needs and review/modification of existing reports as necessary. 
  • Provide analysis, interpret financial data and recommend changes to achieve strategic goals
  • Assists and Leads Center of Excellence initiatives across the regions to deliver consistent, streamlined and standardized practices
  • Coordinate between regional finance teams and external consultants to achieve global shared services functions
  • Work collaboratively across all business units, identifying best practices and process efficiencies
  • Implement quality control procedures and continuously look to improve business processes related to the financials and cost containment
  • Work with all regional finance departments to support their local processes in terms of technical expertise and data handling
  • Provide decision support for and timely financial analysis to department heads and the appropriate business owners

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, financial analysis, budgeting and financial reporting required (Manufacturing experience a plus)
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Working knowledge of leading accounting frameworks, in particular IFRS and US GAAP are assets
  • Strong communicator, especially in engaging teams across multiple time zones
  • Experience in Financial Consolidation & Reporting
  • Experience working with multiple currencies
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of financial data
  • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple strategic projects with varying deadlines and importance
  • Knowledge of consolidation and management reporting tools a plus (TM1, Hyperion, PM10)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally may be required
