We are looking for a full-time Senior Finance Manager to join our small team in Toronto and help us build and scale the foundation of the company. As the Senior Finance Manager, you will be working with the leadership team to manage all accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. You’ll be expected to wear many hats when working with the different parts of our organization, and as such, this is a role for natural problem solvers and team players.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage financial and accounting operations, including owning FP&A, Treasury, Expenses, Tax, Audit, Reporting, Payroll etc.
- Work with our customers, partners and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payments, billing and invoicing
- Ensure timely internal and external reporting to management, investors, regulators, auditors, advisors and other relevant third parties
- Drive and support strategic finance decisions and analyses in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Operations and Product and teams
Who/What we're looking for:
- CPA designation and bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- 7+ years of finance/accounting experience at a major accounting firm and SaaS corporate/startup
- Broad experience with accounting, financial management, strategic planning, and controlling of all financial activities
- Positive, can do attitude, team player and passionate about entrepreneurship
- Strong technical accounting skills; thorough knowledge of GAAP, ASPE and IFRS
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models, metrics, and financial dynamics
- Exemplary spreadsheet / financial modelling skills (Excel and Google Sheets)
- Proficiency in financial software and systems (ideally Xero and Mosaic)
