What you'll be doing

As the Senior Director, Credit Card Growth Marketing, you'll lead integrated marketing for CIBC's Credit Card portfolio, covering both consumer and business card products. Working within the Marketing Centre of Excellence (CoE), you’ll set the vision for marketing excellence, talent development, and strategy, empowering marketers to deliver high-impact outcomes within client solution squads. While squad Product Owners manage day-to-day execution, you ensure every marketer is equipped with the skills, direction, creative assets, and performance frameworks to drive measurable growth. Your focus will be on full-funnel marketing—acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention—and maximizing customer lifetime value through data-driven lifecycle strategies. You’ll oversee all aspects of integrated marketing delivered through the CoE model, including brand positioning, creative development, media strategy, performance marketing, reporting, direct communications, and budget management, with a strong emphasis on digital-first channels such as paid search, paid social, programmatic, SEO, and email marketing.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Develop and lead marketing talent – Build, coach, and deploy a high-performing team of marketing professionals within the Credit Card CoE. Foster a culture of initiative, continuous improvement, and innovation, and own the flow-to-work staffing model to ensure resources are deployed based on growth priorities and campaign demand. Support the professional development, capability growth, and career progression of your team members, even as they operate under the day-to-day direction of squad Product Owners.

  • Drive integrated marketing strategy – Develop and execute multi-year, growth-oriented marketing strategies and annual plans for the credit card portfolio. Align marketing investments with client solution strategies, growth targets, and financial commitments, ensuring all activities support CIBC’s overall marketing vision. Lead the creation and delivery of campaigns across paid, organic, owned, and earned channels, leveraging consumer insights and measurable KPIs to maximize impact.

  • Champion data-driven optimization – Collaborate with Personal & Business Banking Data & Analytics teams to enable ongoing measurement of marketing performance against aligned KPIs. Use multi-touch attribution modeling, mix modeling, and real-time dashboards to inform budget allocation and media planning decisions. Drive automation and application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to continuously improve efficiency and outcomes.

  • Foster collaboration and compliance – Manage relationships with squad Product Owners, internal partners, and external agencies, setting shared goals and KPIs. Ensure strategic alignment and information sharing across teams, monitor competitive marketing activity, and incorporate Voice of the Customer insights into campaign development. Guarantee all marketing activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal risk frameworks, and CIBC brand standards.

Who you are

  • You put clients first. You consistently deliver exceptional outcomes and solutions for clients.

  • You’re a strategic leader and talent developer. You inspire, coach, and advance your team, building marketing capability within the CoE.

  • You thrive in agile, collaborative environments. You adapt quickly, embrace a test-and-learn mindset, and build strong relationships across teams.

  • You bring deep marketing expertise. You have 15+ years in integrated, performance, and brand marketing—including at least 5 years in a leadership role within credit cards, financial services, or regulated industries.

  • You leverage data and digital channels. You excel in digital-first marketing and use analytics to drive decisions and optimize outcomes.

  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
