What you'll be doing
As part of CIBC’s Risk Management group, the Compliance & Global Regulatory Affairs (CGRA) team plays a vital role in providing independent oversight of the bank’s compliance with regulatory requirements. As Senior Director, Corporate Function Compliance (CFC), you’ll lead a team responsible to perform RCM oversight function activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements across CIBC’s Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Functional Groups (FGs). You will set the strategic direction for the CFC operating model, driving continuous improvement to ensure consistent, high quality execution of regulatory compliance oversight activities. In this capacity, you will serve as the accountable officer for more than 200 Regulatory Group Topics within the CFC mandate and provide expert guidance on complex regulatory matters. Your leadership will foster a strong culture of compliance, reinforce effective risk management, and support the achievement of CIBC’s business objectives. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders, represent the CFC team in cross-enterprise initiatives, and champion enhancements to compliance processes and controls.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
