What it’s like to be a Northbridge Intranet & Digital Communications Specialist

As an Intranet & Internal Communications Specialist at Northbridge, you’ll play a key role in how information flows across the organization and how employees experience our digital workplace. Sitting within our Employee Communications team in People & Culture, you’ll own updates, enhancements, and optimization of our intranet (built on Microsoft SharePoint) and our Northbridge Careers website.

You’ll partner closely with stakeholders across the business – including IT, Cyber, People & Culture, and senior leaders – to deliver engaging, branded, intuitive content and digital experiences. As the organization’s platform subject matter expert, you’ll guide teams on best practices, support daily content needs, bring forward enhancements, and ensure our digital channels stay modern, functional, and aligned to business priorities.

We want your talent!

If you are great at:

  • Conceptualizing and designing intuitive web pages and digital experiences

  • Managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment

  • Providing exceptional consultation and customer service to internal stakeholders

  • Ensuring brand consistency and quality across all communication channels

  • Troubleshooting, testing, and implementing digital solutions

  • Thinking creatively about continuous improvement in employee communications

  • Acting as a platform subject matter expert and helping others use tools effectively

You have:

  • 5+ years of experience developing, publishing, and maintaining website content

  • Hands‑on experience with Intranet/Microsoft SharePoint (required)

  • Experience working with digital tools such as CMS platforms, web applications, and email marketing or automation services (e.g., tools similar to Contact Monkey)

  • Understanding of internet/intranet principles, information architecture, and web design

  • Post‑secondary education in Web Development, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • A continuous improvement mindset with curiosity about modern digital, AI‑enabled communication approaches

  • Experience in complex corporate environments (e.g., banking, large enterprises) is preferred

We really mean it when we say we put you first. Here are a few ways how:

  • Hybrid work! Work from the office and at home 50/50, giving you the flexibility to balance both worlds with ease.

  • Competitive compensation including employee share purchase plans, pension plans, RRSP contributions, staff insurance discounts, and more.

  • Well‑being from day one with flexible health benefits, wellness programs, early‑leave days, and comprehensive rewards and recognition programs.

  • Growth and development through education assistance to complete your CIP, FCIP, CRM, or other courses, plus internal mobility, leadership training, and mentorship programs.

  • Support for the community with donation matching and volunteer days so you can give back to the causes that matter to you.

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $82,000 - $120,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.

This is a real opportunity — we’re actively hiring! If the role sounds like a good fit, we encourage you to apply. Beyond base pay, we offer a robust Total Rewards program that includes benefits, wellness support, and other meaningful perks.

We also want to be transparent about our hiring process. While one of our systems includes AI capabilities, over 99% of our screening is done by real people. We believe in thoughtful, human-centered hiring decisions, and are committed to giving every application the attention it deserves.
