As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Nuvei, you will:
- Manage and Scale Cloud Infrastructure: Oversee and optimize infrastructure on AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Automate Infrastructure: Implement automation for infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Streamline Configuration and Image Building: Use Packer for creating machine images and Ansible for configuration management across diverse environments.
- Optimize Kubernetes Operations: Manage and scale Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, applying best practices and leveraging tools like ArgoCD.
- Enhance CI/CD Pipelines: Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to accelerate deployment cycles and ensure reliable delivery.
- Build Robust Monitoring Systems: Design and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like DynaTrace, Splunk, and DataDog for proactive issue detection and resolution.
- Lead Incident Response & RCA: Drive root cause analysis after incidents, implementing long-term fixes and improvements.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with development, QA, IT, and operations teams to align infrastructure requirements and ensure smooth application delivery.
- Support Java-Based Applications: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Java applications developed by the platform teams.
- Utilize Scripting for Automation: Use scripting languages like Python to automate repetitive tasks and enhance system operations.
- Participate in On-Call Rotation: Provide high-level on-call support as part of a 24x7 rotation to maintain production uptime.
- 7+ years of hands-on DevOps experience in fast-paced, high-scale environments, with at least 3+ years in a senior role.
- Cloud Expertise: In-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure, including experience managing production environments at scale.
- Infrastructure as Code: Mastery of tools like Terraform and Terragrunt to manage infrastructure as code.
- Configuration & Automation: Strong skills in using Ansible for configuration management and Packer for image building.
- Kubernetes Proficiency: Deep understanding of Kubernetes (preferably EKS) and experience with GitOps practices using ArgoCD.
- CI/CD Knowledge: Expertise in designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, particularly in Azure DevOps.
- Java Troubleshooting: Familiarity with Java applications and the ability to troubleshoot issues within Java-based systems.
- Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
- Operating Systems: Advanced knowledge of both Linux and Windows environments.
- Problem-Solving Ability: A proven track record of resolving complex technical issues under pressure and leading root cause analysis efforts.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset to work closely with cross-functional teams.
