Job Summary:

We are looking for a DevOps engineer with 5+ years of experience to join the Industrious Engineering Team. Technology is at the heart of re-thinking coworking and you will play an integral role in shaping our vision of a better work-day into reality. Industrious engineers create an environment of curiosity and thrive on unique, meaningful challenges. 

We understand that great engineering teams are built upon relationships as much as they are built on inspiring work. You will collaborate with the development team and cross functionally with other departments to implement technology to align with Industrious' overall architecture and data strategy. You will play a key part in decisions that build the foundation for our technical products and their long lasting impact. Software that you help make and maintain will be used by thousands of members and enable Industrious to scale gracefully.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a creative engineering team to architect, implement and build deployment solutions while being mindful of reliability, maintainability, scalability
  • Design and implement suitable solutions for new and existing products that align with Industrious' overall systems architecture and data strategy while minimizing impact on Industrious’ members and employees
  • Work with Github actions or other build tools in a CI/CD process to build and deploy to our AWS cloud environment
  • Help improve and maintain our application monitoring
  • Maintain, update and implement policies to ameliorate our security posture
  • Schedule and perform system maintenance, software upgrades on a regular basis
  • Future-proof proposed solutions by anticipating needs and implementing them with growth in mind
  • Contribute to the culture of our team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer. At least 5 years of experience in a previous role. 
  • Master of a programming language, such as Python. Preference for Typescript on Node.js.
  • Experience working with cloud based infrastructure. Bonus point if it’s with AWS.
  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure with IAC tools, such as Terragrunt and Terraform.
  • Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Bonus point for experience with Github Actions.
  • Familiarity with architecting software solutions involving several cloud components.
  • A desire for continuous self improvement and the solutions you will work with.
  • A knack for collaboration.
