Arctic Wolf, with its unicorn valuation, is the leader in security operations in an exciting and fast-growing industry—cybersecurity. We have won countless awards for our excellence in security operations and remain dedicated to providing an industry-leading customer and employee experience.

Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Senior Developer to be part of making this happen.

About the Role

You'll be joining our Windows Agent Client team as a Senior Developer, where you'll play a key role in delivering Windows endpoint software designed to address the real-world security challenges faced by IT professionals. This is a journey-level role, and we’re looking for a fully qualified, experienced professional to take on these responsibilities.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will be:

  • Design and develop new features and functionalities for the endpoint security product primarily on Windows

  • Regularly maintain, optimize, and refactor existing code to ensure efficiency, performance, and security.

  • Conduct thorough code reviews for other developers, ensuring the security code is robust, adheres to best practices, and follows company standards.

  • Develop and maintain automated test cases for different product features, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end testing to ensure the quality and functionality of the product.

  • Independently execute assigned tasks and self-generated work, with critical reviews at key points, making informed decisions on the best course of action.

  • Assess complex issues and apply advanced analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify causes and devise solutions.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them grow their skills in secure coding practices, debugging, and problem-solving.

We value a culture of sharing, so every team has the opportunity to share their work with the entire department during our monthly R&D Demos. Once a year we hold a department-wide Hackathon, teaming up across all R&D teams over four days to collaborate and build cool ideas outside the normal project scope. While innovation is the focus, some of these ideas do make it into our products.

About You

  • You are an experienced software developer capable of delivering complete solutions with minimal guidance.

  • You have comprehensive knowledge of software development practices, and mastery over writing and debugging code.

  • You should have experience in one or more of these, or similar technologies:

    • Golang, C++, Rust, Python, AWS Cloud Services, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub

  • Able to write high-performance code with an emphasis on low latency, real-time processing, and minimal resource consumption

  • Understanding of how to interact with system memory, handle processes, and utilize system calls efficiently.

  • Experience with writing unit tests, integration tests, etc.

  • Prior experience of working on MDR, EDR solutions will be a plus

  • Having worked closely with a diverse, global team, you thrive in environments where professionals from various cultures and backgrounds come together to achieve a shared purpose.
