About the Role
We continue to expand our highly talented Infrastructure teams and are seeking a candidate with both software development and operations (eg: system administration, DevOps, TechOps, or SysOps) experience to join us. In this role, you’ll be working closely with our security teams to manage and provide artifacts that meet our security standards, which is crucial to the success of our business.
You’ll work with the Continuous Integration team and enable internal development teams to build high quality and high value software with confidence. Candidates who have supported infrastructure at scale, and internal tools developers are also encouraged to apply for this role. If you are a firm believer in Infrastructure as Code, secure containerized environments, and sustainably automating tasks, then you might be a great fit!
Previous security experience is preferred but not required. We provide all the cybersecurity training you need during onboarding and on-the-job training.
Responsibilities

Administer and maintain package management systems (CodeArtifact, ECR, S3)

Develop pipelines to secure our third-party dependencies
-
Develop secure container and machine images as base images for use by product teams

Provide best practices for building and maintaining secure images (base configurations, access controls, lifecycle policies)

Work closely with our security teams to identify and implement security best practices
Required Skills and Experience
-
Superior development skills in Python, Go or other high-level languages
-
Experience building and distributing docker images
-
Have maintained artifact management/package registry solutions (Artifactory, Nexus, ECR, CodeArtifact)

High competence with operating package management tooling such as pip, npm, yarn, or Maven
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Additional Technologies
Experience in the following technology areas will also be an asset:

Strong experience with core AWS technologies including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3 and CloudFormation

Machine image creation (eg: Packer)
-
Operated and administered Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, or other Linux variants

Experience with developing and maintaining build automation frameworks (Bazel, Make)

Experience using and maintaining continuous integration platforms (Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis CI, GitHub Actions)
Location: This role is open to Remote-Canada, Remote-United States, Hybrid-Eden Prairie, MN, USA, Hybrid-Waterloo, ON, CA.

The interview process is approximately as follows:

Face-to-face interview: Several team members conduct an interview to learn more about you and provide more information about your potential role and team. Be prepared to discuss work experience, specific past projects and your career goals. Approximately 1 hour per interview.

Technical assessment: A recruiter sends you a link to a straightforward technical assessment that is relevant to the role you are applying for. Approximately 1 hour.

Technical review: Several team members review your technical assessment and discuss your provided solutions. You will also answer questions about Approximately 1 hour.
