Senior Data Scientist

Zoominfo is actively seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Enterprise Data Science team. In this strategic role, you will lead efforts to analyze and harness diverse datasets across our organization, with a primary focus on leveraging data science and machine learning to drive actionable insights and outcomes.

Your responsibilities will encompass developing advanced data analytics models, implementing machine learning algorithms, and optimizing data pipelines. You will play a pivotal role in delivering data-driven solutions that enhance our products and operations, ultimately driving business growth.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams, management, and senior leadership will be key as you translate complex data into actionable insights and strategies. We are looking for a visionary leader who is passionate about harnessing the power of data science and machine learning to solve complex business challenges and drive innovation.

In this role, you'll craft crucial business inquiries, design data models, and spearhead the adoption of advanced data science methods. You'll need robust analytical capabilities, a profound passion for data science and machine learning, and the ability to effectively convey the significance of data-backed choices to a wide range of stakeholders.

What You'll do:

• Data-Driven Insights: Applying visionary business insight to identify and solve pivotal data science challenges with long-term organizational impact. Leading the development of novel methodologies and influencing key stakeholders to achieve transformational results.
• ML and LLM Model Development: Utilize Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to develop innovative AI solutions, including traditional machine learning algorithms, advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) (e.g., Graph RAG and Agentic solutions), and marketing modeling (e.g., attribution modeling).
• Deployment and Scalability: Collaborating with engineering teams, we deploy and integrate ML and Generative AI models into production systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Business Problem Solving: Pioneering innovative ML and Generative AI techniques to solve critical business problems. Setting technical direction and standards for AI systems across the organization, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.
• AI Innovation: Build innovative new AI solutions, enhance existing models, drive continuous improvement, and keep us ahead of industry trends. Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI, deep learning, and NLP research. Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team. 
• Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders, guiding them in making informed decisions.

What you bring:

• Ph.D. with 3+ years or Master's degree with 5+ years of industry experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• (Mandatory Requirements) Strong proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, NLP and LLM techniques, with the ability to apply these skills to solve complex business problems.
• (Mandatory Requirements) Hands-on experience and strong proficiency with LLMs, including prompt engineering, advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques, such as GraphRAG and Agentic Solutions. 
• Proven ability to develop end-to-end ML pipelines, encompassing data preparation, model training, and inference, using cloud-based tools (such as Databricks and AWS).
• Demonstrated experience in architecting and implementing scalable data and model pipelines, with a focus on performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Expertise in Python and SQL, along with experience in big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization. Ability to convey complex insights to diverse stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with fine-tuning LLM is a plus.
