WHAT’S ON OFFER
As a Senior Data Implementation Engineer, reporting to the Manager, Technical Implementations, you will own complex customer implementations end-to-end and act as a technical escalation point within the team. You will partner closely with Business Acceleration, Engineering, and Product to design scalable data solutions and ensure successful delivery for strategic customers.This role is ideal for someone who is deeply hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable leading complex integrations while mentoring more junior engineers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Own complex customer implementations from technical discovery through production go-live
  • Build automated ETL workflows to enable repeatable and high quality data ingestion
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Utilize modern data tools like PySpark and Snowflake to explore and troubleshoot issues with ETL, data ingestion or system configuration 
  • Define data validation frameworks and ensure high data quality standards
  • Serve as an escalation point for implementation challenges and production issues
  • Mentor and support junior Data Implementation Engineers
  • Drive continuous improvements to implementation standards, tooling, and processes
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and industry regulations
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 5+ years of experience in data implementation, migration, or ETL engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with PySpark, Snowflake, SQL, and Python
  • Experience designing complex data pipelines and system integrations
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Experience with APIs, event-driven systems, and integration frameworks
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers
  • Life sciences or pharma experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to lead technical discussions with both customers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong mentoring mindset and ownership mentality

LOCATION
ODAIA is a remote first organization, with employees located across Canada and the U.S. Our primary office hub is located in central downtown Toronto and walking distance from Union Station.

The anticipated base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 - $130,000 CAD 
This range represents ODAIA's good-faith estimate based on current market data and internal equity. Final compensation is determined through a comprehensive review of the successful candidate’s unique skill set, specialized experience, certifications and other relevant considerations. As such, the final offer may vary based on these specific factors. Salary expectations will be discussed collaboratively early in the process to ensure alignment. This role is also eligible for health benefits, stock options, and flexible time off policies as mentioned above.
