The Senior Data Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:

- Engage & build relationships with stakeholders across key regional teams,
- Assumes informal/formal leadership role through coaching and training of new recruits.
- Significantly influences decisions, work, and performance of all teams through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in the business.
- Conducts strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications and make strategic recommendations, develops data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis.
- Mines and analyzes data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality.
- Delivers analytics initiatives to address business problems with the ability to identify data required, assess time & effort required and establish a project plan.
- Consults with business clients to identify system functional specifications. Applies comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business goals.
- Consults with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards; recommends solutions.
- Leads system change process from requirements through implementation; provides user and operational support of application to business users
- Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards.
- Impacts the business directly by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams.
- Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment; identifies and communicates risks and impacts.
- Drives communication between business leaders and IT; exhibits sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

- Applies a proactive approach in routinely tracking the project participant progress against project goals.
- Possess the knowledge, skills, and experience to be able to recognize when problems surface or potential problems are looming.
- Articulates problems, bring the right people together to solve problems and know when the problem has been properly addressed and closed.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years experience using tools for managing large data sets
- documents.
- Excellent liaison, communication (verbal and written), conflict resolution, change management, document and report writing skills.
- Provides expertise in area and a strong level of understanding of the principles of IT project management and delivery. Strong Understanding of the SDLC, familiarity with Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodology
- Ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem solving techniques
- Demonstrable and comprehensive experience in stakeholder management involving stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Manage and collaborate with users to review User Acceptance Testing outcome and successfully obtain sign off.
- Experience working in ETL Projects, with multiple upstream and downstream systems defining the mapping requirement for implementation.
- Aptitude to understand technology architecture and work with various partners for configuring strategically aligned solutions.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using excel to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence, and wiki.
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks, changing priorities and monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement change.
