Position Overview:
Zynga’s mission is to connect the world through games. Its vision was that gaming would become a mass market activity, and "play" would be an important verb in our daily lives. As a part of this vision, Zynga Analytics partners with studios to release and grow multiple games, while also owning the analytics stack and central tools.
Zynga’s Data Science and Analytics team uses our unique and expansive data to model and predict user behavior, making our games more personalized and more fun to play! We continually strive to better understand our players!
Join our team if you are passionate about analytics and data science and can use customer-centric, data-driven initiatives to improve game performance. As a member of the Central Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to build end-to-end scalable data-driven solutions to generate valuable insights and contribute to exciting, large-scale projects. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Game Analysts, and Engineers to make a significant impact on our business.

What You'll Do:

Support game teams in development of segmentation schemes for titles based on motivational and attitudinal profiles tied to business outcome metrics

Devise measures or proxies of player motivations and attitudes that can be included in A/B test results, reporting, and modeling

Analyze and build reports around our demographic/psychographic datasets

Aid in the development and curation of consumer insights materials to leverage within our AI

Provide ad hoc support to the Consumer Insights team as well as other centrally supported teams as priority requires
What You Bring:
-
A strong background in experimental design and statistical methodologies for analyzing data. You need to think beyond simple A/B testing

Demonstrated experience designing large-scale data pipelines using technologies such as AWS tools, Databricks, and Airflow

Ability to develop clear narratives from data using visualization tools such as Tableau
-
4+ years of work experience in data science or analytics roles

Proficient in SQL and Python

BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative field; Masters or PhD strongly preferred
