Job Description

The Senior Customer Supply Chain Associate will collaborate with sales, logistics, plants, and production planners to manage orders and resolve issues. They will work directly with the Customer Supply Chain Manager to handle escalations and develop the Customer Supply Chain Team.

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL:

  • Identify trends in customer inquiries/complaints to support issue management and escalate these trends to the appropriate function.

  • Monitor and report on the team’s conformance with service level requirements.

  • Utilize multiple systems for order entry and verify customer orders for accuracy, load weight, pallet count, special considerations, etc.

  • Ensure relevant milestones and deliverables for assigned projects are met to ensure successful delivery.

  • Track customer adherence to order rules and limitations during buy periods.

  • Monitor inventory and direct allocation priorities with allocation planners.

  • Author, edit, and approve knowledge base articles or SOPs as assigned.

  • Drive SOP delivery, team training, and successful operational handover of support items to the Operations team for all projects/other changes as needed.

  • Create dashboards for the Customer Supply Chain Team and drive action plans to achieve team targets.

  • Identify gaps in current processes and devise action plans to improve processes.

  • Develop strong customer relationships, which may include some travel across North America for customer/site visits to understand their businesses, address concerns, and highlight potential issues and solutions.

  • Support and train new team members and evaluate/monitor their progress.

  • Act as an escalation point for customers and sales.

  • Collaborate with multiple internal departments to ensure a smooth order process by problem-solving to expedite as required using various data sources.

  • Direct order management and allocation decisions, including reviewing debits and credits.

  • Manage and maintain records of product code changes.

  • Partner with the team in weekly meetings to share best practices and work on projects.

  • Monitor late orders and drive accountability within the team to ensure departmental metrics are met.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role with direct experience managing orders and customer relationships.

  • College or University degree/diploma in Business Administration or Supply Chain preferred.

  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Ability to problem-solve and “think outside the box.”

  • Proven leadership and analytical skills.

  • Ability to handle a high volume of emails and orders.

  • Practical experience with MS Office (intermediate Excel skills) and detail-oriented research abilities.

  • Strong customer focus and excellent relationship-building skills.

  • Candidate will follow the US Holiday Schedule.

  • Experience with JDE and Power BI is an asset.
