We’re looking for a thoughtful, analytical Sr eCommerce Strategist with a strong Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and UX optimization mindset to join our Strategy team. This individual contributor role is focused on uncovering insights through data, developing clear hypotheses, and partnering cross-functionally to design, test, and optimize high-impact commerce experiences within the Shopify ecosystem.


This role is ideal for someone who thrives in experimentation, enjoys translating insights into action, and wants to grow alongside senior strategists while collaborating closely with UX, Design, and Engineering.
This is a contract role with a minimum commitment of 20-30 hours per week to start, with the opportunity to scale hours based on business and client needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead CRO and experimentation engagements for DTC e-commerce brands.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify conversion opportunities and customer friction across the funnel.
  • Develop data-backed hypotheses and build prioritized experimentation roadmaps based on potential impact and effort.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests, translating results into actionable recommendations and future test opportunities.
  • Conduct CRO research including funnel analysis, UX and heuristic reviews, user testing, customer surveys, session analysis, and competitive audits.
  • Partner closely with UX, Design, Engineering, and Analytics teams to bring experiments and optimization initiatives to life.
  • Synthesize insights and experiment results into clear, compelling client recommendations and optimization strategies.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong experience in CRO, experimentation, and e-commerce optimization, ideally within DTC.
  • Hands-on experience developing hypotheses, experimentation roadmaps, and A/B tests.
  • Strong e-commerce analytics skills and ability to translate data into prioritized actions.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce UX and conversion best practices.
  • Experience with experimentation platforms such as VWO, Optimizely, Shoplift, Intelligems, or similar.
  • Proficient with Google Analytics (GA4).
  • Experience partnering with UX, Design, Engineering, and Analytics teams.
  • Strong client communication and presentation skills.
  • Shopify experience required.
  • BigQuery, SQL, and/or advanced analytics experience is a plus.
