LOCATION: Apply Digital is hybrid/remote friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in the Greater Toronto Area of Canada, working in hours that align to ET (Eastern Timezone).
THE ROLE:
Are you a content writer with 6–8 years of experience working in a consulting, agency, or B2B organization?

As a critical member of our international marketing team, this is a unique opportunity to bring your curiosity, skills, and passion to a global brand. The ideal content writer for our team will have an eye for detail, a passion for concise, compelling copy— and be comfortable producing professional, publication-ready content.
Responsibilities:
- Creating well-researched content that includes thought leadership articles, blog posts, landing pages, events pages, website copy, project case studies, research reports, video scripts, white papers, webinar content, and social media content.
- Actively brainstorming with the Marketing team on creative and strategic approaches to projects and campaigns
- Researching markets and industries to create original and innovative content
- Collaborating alongside a cross-disciplinary team that includes tech, design, growth marketing, BD, partnerships, strategy, and C-suite
- Upload content created into Storyblok, the CMS on which the Apply Digital website is hosted.
What you’ll bring:
- A passion for converting big words and complex concepts into simple, engaging storytelling
- A writer portfolio that demonstrates your range, ability to connect, and originality
- An understanding of how brand voice and brand identity are foundational to storytelling
- Experience in creating SEO-optimized content while also prioritizing accessibility
- An understanding of digital marketing and how content can be leveraged across platforms
- The ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and prioritize what’s important
- Experience working with and uploading content in a CMS (ie you understand how to build pages, change or move components etc), and can communicate with designers and tech to bring content to life
- An understanding of market segments and empathy maps
- An eye for editing and a gift for getting to the point
- High accountability: you own content and projects from start to finish
- A proactive thinker: the ability to zoom out and connect your content to our company’s overarching story
People skills:
- A curiosity about the world and connecting with a variety of people
- A positive, collaborative attitude
- A solutions-focused mindset and aim to stay positive even in times of stress
- A growth mindset
Qualifications:
- University level degree in a related field like business, marketing, journalism, healthcare, or communications is preferred
- An understanding of statistics, business strategy, digital technology
- 6-8 years of experience with strategic and marketing content writing
- Computer literate with proficiency in Google Suite
- A native understanding of English and expert-level ability in writing in English
- Prior experience with Storyblok is greatly appreciated
