What you’ll be doing

As the Senior Consultant, Risk Analytics, you will contribute to the growth of the unsecured retail portfolio including lines of credit, loans, overdrafts, and cards. You will lead these efforts by conducting data-driven analyses aimed at improving the performance of risk strategies/policies, continuously refining the breadth, depth, integrity, and accuracy of unsecured credit data.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

· Risk strategy development - You will lead complex analytics and data processes to support the development and execution of proposals/business case for account management strategy, credit-policy, system, or rule changes that will optimize the portfolio risk reward trade-off.

· Innovation - You will exercise strategic vision to drive innovation and process enhancement efforts, targeting key operational pain points with focus on resolution and efficient resource utilization. You will continuously challenge and improve risk strategy through analysis of customer behavior data and sophisticated statistical/data mining techniques.

· Relationship building - Forge collaborative partnership with stakeholders by leading initiatives and identifying strategic opportunities to enable profitable growth, reduce exposure and adapt to changing market conditions, while operating within overall risk appetite.

· Strategy communication - Oversee the strategy monitoring framework and improve impact assessment methodologies to allow for better and more informed decisions. You will also communicate strategy results with management and business partners to obtain support and move forward.

Who you are

· You can demonstrate experience. 3- 5 years of experience in a Data Analysis and Analytics focused role within risk management. Proficiency utilizing SAS and Triad. Presentation skills and experience presenting to others is an asset.

· You have a degree/diploma. In Business/Math/Statistics, MBA, or equivalent work experience.
