What you’ll be doing

The purpose of the Risk Data Management Office (RDMO) is to promote and improve the value of risk data as a strategic asset within Risk Management. The Governance and Risk Data Integration team is responsible for the management of the governance and oversight framework across Risk Management. The team is also responsible for providing project and data solutions for data governance regulatory reporting and analytics risk systems within RDMO’s purview. As a key member of the RDMO, the Senior Consultant will support the Director in leading projects related to capability building across applications within Risk Management to ensure governance and oversight of risk data management practices across Risk Management. The Senior Consultant will also ensure alignment and compliance with the Enterprise data governance policy and associated standards.

How you’ll succeed

  • Risk management data governance oversight – Develop, implement and manage Risk Management’s compliance to the Enterprise Data Lifecycle Management policy and associated standards, processes and procedures.

  • Data quality and governance – Assess data repositories for adherence with data governance policies and standards. Recommend data quality standard improvements to enhance resulting data.

  • Project management – Utilizing project management best practices to manage and/or engage teams to execute risk data management initiatives. Plan, track, and assess final impacts.

  • Review and assessment – Supporting all internal and external regulatory reviews, and manage deliverables as a result of review findings. Play a critical role in driving risk process enhancements efforts to increase efficiency, establishing SLAs and creating data quality and control standards.

  • Relationship management – Work with all areas of the business to ensure data quality and integrity and supports execution of the enterprise-wide risk data policies, standards and procedures to ensure they are in line with the latest regulations and recommendations.

Who you are

  • You have 5 years’ experience in Risk Management, supporting enterprise wide data governance programs. It’s an asset if you have regulatory compliance management, control testing and/or audit experience.

  • You have experience leading and/or supporting end to end projects.

  • You have experience using Tableau and/or Power BI for reporting purposes, and Jira for planning and tracking.  

  • You are an excellent communicator that can demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. You have experience presenting to senior leaders.

  • You are organized and structured in your thinking, and can manage multiple deliverables and tasks at a time.

  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way.

  • You know that details matter. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
